A young man from Udaipur, Rohitesh Upadhyay, bagged not one but two world records in the field of motorsports. Rohitesh, who hails from Udaipur, bagged the record of stagging the longest ever Sportbike Freestyle Riding done by anyone in India.
Rohitesh attempted this skilled act in the field of Sportbike Freestyle Riding on September 29 last year. The act named as ‘No Hands Motorcycle Wheelie’ is one of the most difficult tricks performed in motorsports.
In this trick, the athlete is not allowed to touch the handlebar at any time after the starting line, while the front wheel remains in the air throughout. Rohitesh managed to balance this specific wheelie for a distance of 125.7 meters non-stop!
The trick was set as a record in the International Book of World Records. On 17th April this year, the Golden Book of World Records also honoured him for the same record.
The motorsports athlete, Rohitesh has been in the field for the past 10 years. He has attended more than 100 shows across India.
The ex-TVS Factory Rider also broke the India Book of Records in Chennai in 2017 at Express Avenue Mall. The 5-hour long show started at 12 noon and extended up till 5 pm in the evening.
Rohitesh is currently associated with an international OEM manufacturer brand where he tests concept electric motorcycles.
He will be felicitated in December 2020 in Delhi for making India proud by being the first Indian to bring this laurel home.

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday ordered the deployment of 400 vans to be used as mobile Out-Patient Department (OPD) units across the state to ensure uninterrupted health services for the public.
The vans will be stationed at block headquarters and other important locations across the state. The public can approach these vans for any general health-related problem.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, these 400 mobile OPD vans will provide medical services to people near their doorstep.
Since there are many hospitals in the state which have become dedicated COVID-19 hospitals, the general public is finding it difficult to approach the hospitals for their general health-related problems.
The Chief Medical and Health Official will be informed when any person with a serious illness will approach mobile OPD. The officer will have to ensure that the treatment starts on a priority at a government or private hospital.
The government said that is will take strict action against hospitals which deny treatment to people. The first and the foremost moral and social responsibility of a hospital is to provide treatment to the patient approaching them.
The CM said that this is a testing time for the private hospitals and they should fulfil this moral and social responsibility without a fail.
Besides, the government has also decided to appoint 9,000 auxiliary and general nursing midwives to strengthen basic health care.
After the Modified Lockdown came into effect from Monday, UIT and Municipal Corporation began to resume their unfinished tasks of fly-over and repair and maintenance of roads in the city.
UIT has commenced the work of flyover at Pratapnagar Choraha while the Udaipur Municipal Corporation is has started with the road repair work.
Since the roads are almost empty due to the lockdown effect, it has become easier for the departments to carry on the tasks of in the absence of traffic.
It is noteworthy that the state government of Rajasthan has brought modified lockdown into effect in the selected regions of the state. The city administration has also laid stringent guidelines on modified lockdown in order to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
Following the guidelines laid by the state government and city administration, the government offices have also resumed to carry out the pending tasks.
Since the company which the contract for the flyover had enough resources available like material and labour, the UIT began work of flyover construction on Tuesday morning.
UIT started the 450 metres long and 15.7 metres wide flyover work from Bhuwana to Eklingpura in April 2019 with a budget of 18.52 crores. Before the lockdown came in to effect on March 24, almost 75 per cent of the work was over.
Now, the department is availing the modified lockdown facility to complete the remaining construction work.
On the other hand, Udaipur Nagar Nigam also issued directives to resume the pending tasks. After which, the corporation started the repair work of roads from Tuesday.
The UMC has started the road repair work at Court Circle after which it is planning to complete the repair work at all other Chorahas in the city.
UIT is said to hold a meeting to discuss a layout plan for completing all the pending works.
The administration and other organisation who have resumed their work after the modified lockdown came in effect, have to ensure that social distancing and the required norms of modified lockdown are being followed.
Rajasthan Government on Monday directed all the medical shop owners in the state to not sell the medicines of cold, cough and fever to people without a written prescription from a doctor.
The pharmacists are asked to note down the name, address and phone number of patients who come to buy medicines for fever, cough and cold and inform the in-charge of the nearest health centre.
Since the symptoms of COVID-19 are same as that of the normal flu or Swine Flu, the patients or their caretaker are buying the medicines for these symptoms over the counter without consulting the doctor.
It was observed the people with COVID-19 like symptoms are avoiding getting tested for the virus.
Besides, to keep a track of the spread of COVID-19, other states in the country have also issued advisories asking medical shop owners and chemists to keep a track of all the cough/cold/flu medicines sold.
States like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Orrisa, Maharashtra & parts of Bihar have issued advisories to medical shops and chemists to keep a record of people who buy cough, cold or fever medicine. These shop owners in these states also have also been asked to record the address, name & phone number of people to come to buy medicines for the said symptoms.
The authorities are planning to collect the list daily to trace people and subsequently test them for COVID-19, the report said.

इन विभागों में जिन कर्मचारियों को ड्यूटी पर बुलाया जाएगा वहीँ जाएंगे। ऐसे में जिनका काम अत्याधिक ज़रूरी न हो, वे घर पर ही रह कर लॉकडाउन का पालन करेंगे।
जिला प्रशासन के हाल ही में जारी किये आदेशों के तहत, निजी वाहनों के आने-जाने पर रोक लगा दी है। ऐसे में सभी सरकारी अधिकारी और कर्मचारी अपने विभाग का परिचय-पत्र बता कर घर से अपने कार्यालय और कार्यालय से अपने घर आ-जा सकतें हैं।

Ghasiteram is a fictional name of a sweet shop based in Udaipur as featured in the Bollywood movie Angrezi Medium starring Irrfan Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan and directed by Homi Adajania.
The director wanted to portray Irrfan’s character as a man from a small town and therefore identified Udaipur as the best location to show the peaceful life of the small businessmen in a city.
Irrfan has been portrayed as the owner of this small sweet shop chain named Ghasiteram Mishthan Bhandar (GMB), which is based in a small town of Udaipur.
Although Udaipur city, in reality, does not have any shop named Ghasiteram Sweets or Ghasiteram Mishthan Bhandar Udaipur, in the movie, the shop is featured to be located at Choti Bramhapuri locality in Udaipur where Irrfan was said to staying while shooting the film.
In the film, Irrfan is playing the role of Champak Ji, the owner of the sweet shop owner of Ghasiteram Mishthan Bhandar Udaipur.

Ashok Gehlot led Rajasthan Government is planning to implement Modified Lockdown in the state from April 21. This step is being considered to gradually revive economic activities in Rajasthan.
The state government is looking to restart the activities in agriculture and industrial sector in rural and urban areas on a conditional basis.
The CM of the state is planning to implement this ‘Modified Lockdown’ in a phased manner for which units in rural and industrial areas of the state will be reopened after 20th April.
Modified Lockdown is being implemented to provide employment to migrant labourers and daily-wage earners in the state. The directives were given by the CM during a high-level meeting with the state officials.
However, the corona-affected areas which are still under curfew will continue with curfew until the situation improves in those hotspots. Employees or other people living in these areas will not be allowed to go out.
During a live video conference with the media people, Gehlot clarified the term “Modified Lockdown”. He said that under Modified Lockdown, activities are started after modifying the basic guidelines. People will be educated on social distancing at workplaces and other public places.
He has also directed the industries in urban areas to provide staying facility for the labourers at the workplace since commuting of labourers from outside will not be allowed.
The CM advised the District Collectors, RIICO, District Industry Centres and the Police Officials to ensure coordination with each other so no problem arises in starting these selected industries during the lockdown.
However, these policies will not be followed in the hotspot regions of the state. These regions will have a separate policy. All the 49 places where curfew is implemented will have a separate policy than those places which have no patients.
After modified lockdown is put in place, rural workers will get employment in rural areas. The state has open the vegetable markets and purchasing process has also begun at MSP directly from the farmers.
The CM has directed to open the Government offices in a phased manner. Officers under Group A and Group-B category will be required to be present and ensure social distancing.
PWD and irrigation work will also be started in rural areas as well as MGNREGS work will be intensified by following social distancing norms and other health-related protocols.
The State Government will also ensure to follow the guidelines issued by the Government of India till May 3. Keeping the public health as the top-most priority, the State Government will work in coordination with the Central Government.
However, people must keep in mind that the rules and guidelines will not be followed, and cases of infection increase, all the permissions would be withdrawn immediately.
To manage the increasing number of patients of COVID-19, Udaipur City Administration has divided the treatment into three categories – Dedicated Hospital – Care Unit – Health Care Center
MB Hospital will become Dedicated COVID-19 Hospital, ESIC Hospital will be made into Corona Care Unit while Sharma Hospital located at Bhuwana will be prepared as a COVID Care Health Center.
MB Hospital will have about seven hundred and fifty beds available for COVID-19 treatment, while the Corona Ward will continue the treatment for coronavirus the way it has been doing on a regular basis.

First Floor – Corona Suspect and Stable Cases

Corona Care Unit – ESIC Hospital
Udaipur’s ESIC Hospital located at Chitrakoot Nagar is now being developed as a Corona Care Unit. The hospital will cater to the patients who are positive and yet asymptomatic. These include the patients who do not show any symptom of illness.
The hospital will be equipped with around 200 to 250 beds. The staff quarters in all six wings of the hospital will be used to keep the patients. Every room will have 2 patients so as to follow the social distancing protocol.
Patients will be provided with TV facility to keep them entertained during their quarantine period. A team of doctors and nursing workers will be available round the clock with a separate staff for each wing.
COVID Care Health Center – Sharma Hospital
The Sharma Hospital Bhuwana is being considered as a COVID Care Health Center. The hospital will cater to patients who need oxygen.
Although it is proposed, some other hospital may also be acquired instead.
Administration along with the Health Department is making all the necessary preparations to lessen the burden of patients on one hospital. The Health Department is engaged in making the arrangements as per the new guidelines.

The government on Wednesday issued a fresh set of guidelines as India entered the second phase of a nationwide lockdown meant to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus. The exhaustive guidelines detail whether citizens are allowed to move, what industries can function, what items can be sold, what measures are to be followed by workplaces remaining open during the lockdown phase, and more.
The new lockdown rules and regulations will apply until May 3. Some conditional relief may be seen in areas that are not hotspots for the novel coronavirus from April 20.
Here’s the full list of the fresh guidelines issued by the government on the novel coronavirus lockdown 2.0.
What activities are banned?
Following activities will continue to remain prohibited across the country until May 3, 2020
Domestic and international air travel of passengers, except for security purposes.
Passenger movement by bus, trains, air and ship except for security purposes.
All public transport.
Inter-district and inter-state movement of individuals except for medical reasons or for activities permitted under these guidelines.
All educational, training, coaching institutions etc. shall remain closed.
All industrial and commercial activities other than those specifically permitted under these guidelines.
Hospitality services are other than those specifically permitted under these guidelines.
Cinema halls, malls, shopping complexes, gymnasiums, sports complexes, swimming pools, entertainment parks, theatres, bars and auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places.
All social/ political/ sports/ entertainment/ academic/ cultural/ religious functions/ other gatherings.
All religious places/ places of worship shall be closed for public.
Religious congregations are strictly prohibited.
Congregation of more than twenty persons will not be permitted at funerals
Dispensaries, chemists, pharmacies, all kinds of medicine shops including Jan Aushadhi
Kendras and medical equipment shops.
Medical laboratories and collection centres.
Pharmaceutical and medical research labs, institutions carrying out COVID 0-19 related research.
Veterinary Hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, pathology labs, sale and supply of vaccine and medicine.
Authorised private establishments, which support the provisioning of essential services, or efforts for containment of COVID-19, including home care providers, diagnostics, supply chain firms serving hospitals.
Manufacturing units of drugs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, medical oxygen, their packaging material, raw material and intermediates.
Construction of medical/ health infrastructure including the manufacture of ambulances.
Movement (inter and intra-state, including by air) of all medical and veterinary personnel, scientists, nurses, para-medical staff, lab technicians, midwives and other hospital support services, including ambulances.
Farming, Fisheries, Plantation and Animal Husbandary with 50% of workers
Collection, processing, distribution and sale of milk and milk products by milk processing plants, including transport and supply chain.
Operation of animal husbandry farms including poultry farms & hatcheries and livestock farming activity.
Animal feed manufacturing and feed plants, including the supply of raw material, such as maize and soya.
Operation of animal shelter homes, including Gaushalas.
Public Utilities
Postal services, including post offices.
Operations of utilities in water, sanitation and waste management sectors, at municipal/ local body levels in States and UTs.
Cargo movement through rail, air and ship
Shops for truck repairs and Dhabas on highways, with a stipulated minimum distance as prescribed by the State/ UT authorities.
Police, home guards, civil defence, fire and emergency services, disaster management, prisons and municipal services will function without any restrictions.
Supply of Essential Goods
Kirana and single shops selling essential goods and carts
Ration shops under PDS dealing with food and groceries for daily use
Hygiene items
Fruits and vegetables
Dairy and milk booths
Poultry, meat and fish
Commercial and private establishments
Print and electronic media including broadcasting, DTH and cable services.
IT and IT-enabled Services, with up to 50 per cent strength.
Data and call centres for Government activities only.
Government-approved Common Service Centres (CSCs) at Gram Panchayat level.
E-commerce companies. Vehicles used by e-commerce operators will be allowed to ply with necessary permissions.
Courier services.
Hotels, homestays, lodges and motels, which are accommodating tourists and persons stranded due to lockdown, medical and emergency staff, air and sea crew.
Establishments used/ earmarked for quarantine facilities.
Services provided by self-employed persons, e.g., electrician, IT repairs, plumbers, motor mechanics, and carpenters.
Industries/ Industrial Establishments (both Government and private)
Industries operating in rural areas.
Manufacturing and other industrial establishments with access control in Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and Export Oriented Units (EoU), industrial estates, and industrial townships.
Manufacturing units of essential goods, including drugs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, their raw material and intermediates.
Food processing industries in rural areas
Production units, which require a continuous process, and their supply chain.
Manufacturing of IT hardware.
Manufacturing units of packaging material.
Jute industries with staggered shifts and social distancing.

Lockdown 2.0 Guidelines
Guidelines for public places
Wearing of face cover is compulsory in all public places, workplaces.
All persons in charge of public places, workplaces and transport shall ensure social distancing as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
No organization /manager of a public place shall allow gathering of 5 or more persons
Gatherings such as marriages and funerals shall remain regulated by the District Magistrate.
Spitting in public spaces shall be punishable with a fine.
There should be a strict ban on the sale of liquor, gutka, tobacco etc. and spitting should be strictly prohibited.
Guidelines for workplaces
All workplaces shall have adequate arrangements for temperature screening and provide sanitizers at convenient places.
Workplaces shall have a gap of one hour between shifts and will stagger the lunch breaks of staff, to ensure social distancing.
Persons above 65 years of age and persons with co-morbidities and parents of children below the age of 5 may be encouraged to work from home.
Use of Arogya Setu will be encouraged for all employees both private and public.
All organizations shall sanitize their workplaces between shifts.
Large meetings to be prohibited.
Guidelines for manufacturing establishments
Frequent cleaning of common surfaces and mandatory handwashing shall be mandated.
No overlap of shifts and staggered lunch with social distancing in canteens shall be ensured.
Intensive communication and training on good hygiene practices shall be taken up.
Persons to remain under mandatory quarantine
All such persons who have been directed by health care personnel to remain under strict home/ institutional quarantine for a period as decided by local Health Authorities.
Persons violating quarantine will be liable to legal action under Section 188 of the IPC, 1860.
Quarantined persons, who have arrived in India after 15.2.2020, after the expiry of their quarantine period and being tested COVID-19 negative, will be released following the protocol prescribed in the SOP issued by MHA.
