सड़क चौड़ीकरण के चलते चेतक से राडाजी चौराहे तक होगा वन-वे ट्राफ़िक सिस्टम

शिक्षा भवन चौराहे से अम्बावगढ़ के राड़ा जी चौराहे तक सड़क चौड़ीकरण का काम 11 फरवरी से शुरू होगा। इसके चलते यातायात व्यवस्था में बदलाव किया गया है।

चेतक से राड़ा जी चौराहे तक वन-वे ट्राफ़िक सिस्टम 11 फरवरी लागू होगा जो की अगले डेढ़ महीने तक जारी रह सकता है। इस दौरान सभी भारी वाहनों को इस मार्ग से जाने की अनुमति नहीं होगी।

हालाँकि डाइवर्जन के कार्य के चलते इस मार्ग से नियमित आने-जाने वालों को कुछ दिनों के लिए परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ सकता है।

फ़िलहाल शिक्षा भवन चौराहे से अम्बावगढ़ के राड़ा जी चौराहे तक की सड़क की चौड़ाई केवल 7 फीट है। जिस वजह से इस मार्ग का चौड़ीकरण का कार्य ज़रूरी था। इसी के चलते यूआईटी ने सड़क चौड़ीकरण के काम की शुरुआत की जिसके बाद इस मार्ग पर 2-लेन की व्यवस्था होगी।

अगले सप्ताह के लिए यातायात व्यवस्था इस प्रकार होगी:

  • 2-व्हीलर्स, 3-व्हीलर्स और 4-व्हीलर्स अरावली वाटिका मार्ग से होकर राडा जी चौराहे तक जा सकेंगें
  • बसें फतेहपुरा, देवली, रानी रोड और महाकाल मंदिर मार्ग वाले मार्ग से होकर मल्लातलाई जाएँगी
  • नाई-झाड़ोल से आने वाली बसों को केवल महाकाल तिराहा तक आने की अनुमति होगी।
  • यादव कॉलोनी से अंबवगढ़ तक प्रवेश वर्जित होगा।
  • मल्लातलाई से चेतक जाने वाली पर्यटक बसें रानी रोड से फतेहपुरा मार्ग-सुखाड़िया सर्कल होते हुए चेतक सर्कल तक जाएँगी।

Bappa Rawal Panorama at Mathatha opens for public visit

Bappa Rawal Panorama which was inaugurated by former CM Vasundhara Raje one and a half year ago has now been opened for public visit.

The Panorama is located at Mathatha, a small village located in Girwa Tehsil of Udaipur district in Rajasthan. It is situated at a distance of 22km from Udaipur.

Constructed by Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Authority, Government of Rajasthan, the Bappa Rawal Panorama is located in the Mathatha in Udaipur. It was inaugurated in August 2018  by the then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

The panorama has been opened to showcase the lives of the great Gods, saints, kings and their personality.

The Bappa Rawal Panorama has been created under the guidance of Shri Onkar Singh Lakhawat, Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Conservation and Promotion Authority.

According to Mr Lakhawat, the panorama is showcasing the various aspects of Bappa Rawal’s life in 2D, 3D and print modes. The panorama is built near the tomb of Bappa Rawal and a total cost of 1 crore 71 lakhs has been incurred on the construction of the place.

Chief Executive Officer Tikam Chand Bohra has done the script of writing and display plan of this panorama. The glorious history of Rajasthan has been presented in an inspirational way.

Bappa Rawal was a ruler of the Mewar region in Rajasthan. He is also described as a member of the Guhila (Gahlot) clan of Rajputs and thus an ancestor of the Sisodia dynasty. Some of them consider him as the founder of the Guhila dynasty.

Located amidst abundant natural beauty, the Bappa Rawal Panorama in Mathatha near Udaipur boasts a huge 15 feet high statue of Bappa Rawal riding on a horse. The captivating statue is made of gunmetal.

The entry tickets for the panorama are priced at Rs. 10 for adults and Rs.5 for kids below 12 years of age.

Udaipur will soon have a high-tech Science Museum near Shilpgram

Tourists and Udaipurites will soon get a chance to get a closer look at the magic of Science. A high-tech theme-based Science Museum is getting ready near Shilpgram.

The Government of India under the Ministry of Culture, along with the State Government and UIT is developing the project with a total budget of 10 crores.

The museum will have models based on different branches of Science like Physics, Math, Geography, Geology, Electronics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Communication etc.

The first phase of construction of the building is almost done. The second phase will have models based on different branches of Science.

The Science Museum can prove to be a major centre in Southern Rajasthan for learning and understanding the concepts of science in an interesting way. People from the city along with the tourist visiting the city will have a new way to learn about the latest technologies related to the subject.

The Science Centre in Udaipur will have six different types of attractions for the visitors:

  2. 3D Gallery
  3. Open Science Models
  4. Fun Science Gallery
  5. Theme-based Science Gallery
  6. Sun Planetarium

Udaipur Science Museum is being developed in the directions of Mumbai’s Nehru Science Centre.

उदयपुर को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए निगम कर रहा है यह प्रयास

नगर निगम की बुधवार को हुई बैठक में शहर को साफ़-सुथरा बनाने के लिए कई मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई और सुझाव भी रखे गए। उप-महापौर एवं स्वास्थ समिति अध्यक्ष पारस सिंघवी की अध्यक्षता में हुई इस बैठें में सभी समिति अध्यक्षों ने अपने-अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किये।

स्वच्छ उदयपुर के लिए निम्न प्रस्तावों को लिया गया:

  • शहर के छोटी व तंग गलियों और ऊँची घाटियों वाले इलाक़ों से में कचरा संग्रन के लिए 500 हाथ-गाड़िया लगाई जायेगी।
  • नगर निगम की सीमा के बाहर कोई भी सफाईकर्मी अपनी सेवाएं नहीं देगा।
  • वार्ड पार्षद और जमादार मिल कर तय करेंगें की वार्ड में कितने सफाईकर्मियों की ज़रूरत है।
  • शहर के होटलों और रेस्टोरेंट्स की नयी सूची बनाई जाएगी और लाइसेंस की जांच की जाएगी।
  • जो ज़मीनें अभी खली पड़ी हैं उसकी सफाई निगम करवाएगा और नियमन के बाद भूखंडधारी से पैसे लिए जायेंगे।
  • जो कर्मचारी लगन और ईमानदारी से काम कर सम्बंधित इलाक़े की सफ़ाई की सुचारु व्यवस्था रखेगा, उसे एक लाख रुपए से पुरस्कृत किया जाएगा।
  • कचरा संग्रहण के वहां चालक वर्दी में कचरा संग्रहण के लिए जायेंगे।
  • सार्वजनिक शौचालयों की सफाई पर नियमित कार्य किया जायेगा।

उदयपुर को स्वच्छ बनाने के लिए नगर निगम के इन प्रयासों में हम भी अपना योगदान दे सकतें हैं।

अपने इलाक़े में काम करने वाले सफ़ाईकर्मी को प्रोत्साहित करें ताकी वो अपना काम मेहनत और लगन से करे और इनाम का हक़दार बने साथ ही हमारा शहर भी साफ़ बने।

Ease of Living Index: How liveable is Udaipur?

Udaipur Smart City Limited (USCL) is encouraging the citizens to participate in the ongoing survey on Ease of Living Index. The digital survey would record the residents’ perception regarding various services and facilities in their respective cities.

The survey has begun from February 1 would continue till February 29.

USCL is making serious efforts to encourage Udaipurites to participate in the on-going survey. The participants will be able to give their feedback on the basic facilities like affordability for housing and quality education, the supply of water and electricity, health services, sanitation, public transportation etc.

Udaipur Smart City Limited along with the Municipal Corporation of Udaipur will be approaching educational institutions, public and private offices, voluntary organisations to spread awareness about the survey. According to Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Ankit Kumar Singh, the survey result would help in planning future projects for city improvements.

The survey aims to quantify the ease of living for citizens living in the participating cities on the 3 parameters – the quality of life, economic ability and sustainability. Each of these carries 35%, 15% and 20% share in the survey respectively.

Besides various other data reports, citizen perception is carrying 30% weightage in measuring the quality of life in various cities through this index.

Udaipur Government Hospital sets up a special ward for coronavirus patients

A 14-bed special ward for coronavirus patients has been set up at Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital under RNT Medical College to deal with any emergency situation. Although no confirmed case has been reported yet The ward was opened based on instructions from the state medical and health department.

A control room has been established in the ward where people can collect all information related to the disease. The special ward in the hospital is prepared with all the necessary equipment including masks, oxygen meters, ventilators, suction apparatus etc.

According to the sources, the Principal of RNT Medical College, Dr Lakhan Poswal informed that the hospital is ready to deal with any emergency situation. The special ward in the hospital has other chambers attached to it for the convenience of the patients.

Besides, the tourism department has also raised alert among the hotels and homestays to keep an eye on tourists travelling from abroad or any coronavirus suspect.

Looking at the inflow of tourist coming from abroad especially from China, the department has been asked to report any suspicious case to the hospital control room so that timely action can be taken.

According to the tourism department, over 15 thousand tourists from China have visited Udaipur in the past three years.

बागोर की हवेली – उदयपुर का एक खूबसूरत पर्यटक आकर्षण

पिछोला झील के किनारे, गणगौर घाट पर बनी बागोर की हवेली वर्षों से उदयपुर के पर्यटकों को लुभाती आयी है। यह ऐतिहासिक हवेली राजा महाराजाओं के जीवन की एक जीती जगती दास्ताँ है। इसका निर्माण 1751 से 1778 के अंतराल में मेवाड़ के प्रधान मंत्री रहे अमरचंद बड़वा ने करवाया था। उनकी मृत्यु के बाद यह हवेली मेवाड़ राज्य के शाही परिवार के अधिकार में आ गयी।

आज़ादी के बाद राज्य सरकार ने इस हवेली को सरकारी कर्मचारियों के निवास के उपयोग में लिया। पर इस दौरान हवेली के सही रखरखाव के आभाव में इसकी हालत ज़र-ज़र होती गई। बाद में राजस्थान सरकार ने 1986 में इस ऐतिहासिक ईमारत को पश्चिम क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केंद्र का मुख्यालय बनाने के लिए सौंप दिया।

100 कमरों की इस हवेली को उसके पूर्व स्वरुप में लाने की अपार मेहनत की गयी। इसके 138 कक्ष, बरामदे, गलियारे सभी ऐतिहासिक प्रमाणिकता के अनुसार फिर से निर्मित किये गए। पश्चिम क्षेत्र सांस्कृतिक केंद्र ने इस हवेली को एक खूबसूरत संग्रहालय का रूप दिया जहाँ मेवाड़ की संस्कृति की एक अनूठी झलक दिखाई देती है।

बागोर की हवेली के ऐतिहासिक महत्व को ध्यान में रखते हुए यहाँ भारत विभिन्न राज्य जैसे राजस्थान, गुजरात, महाराष्ट्र, गोवा की संस्कृति को दर्शाने की पहल की गई।

आज यहाँ शस्त्रगार, कठपुतली और शाही शादी जैसे अनोखे संग्रहालय पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करते हैं। इसके अलावा हवेली में दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी पगड़ी और कावड़ भी सजी हुई है जिसे लोग खास तौर से देखने आते हैं। हवेली में मेवाड़ की शाही घरानों की शानो को दर्शाने के लिए अलग-अलग कक्षों में झाकियां प्रदर्शित की गई है। इनमे अमोद-प्रमोद कक्ष, गणगौर कक्ष, श्रृंगार कक्ष, शयन कक्ष, रंगनिवास, पूजा कक्ष, संगीत कक्ष आदि खास आकर्षण का केंद्र हैं।

दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी पगड़ी

बागोर की हवेली में भारत के कई राज्यों की पारम्परिक पाग-पगड़िया रखी हैं जिसमे से एक है दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी 30 किलो वज़न की पगड़ी। यहाँ अनूठी पड़गी 151 फ़ीट लम्बी, 7 इंच मोटी, 11 चौड़ी, और ढाई फ़ीट ऊंची है। दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी माने जाने वाली इस पगड़ी को बड़ोदा के कारीगर अवंतीलाल चावला ने 25 दिनों में बनाया था।

बागोर की हवेली संस्कृति, सभ्यता और इतिहास की वह झलक है जो अपने-आप में मेवाड़ के राज घरानों की एक पूरी गाथा सुनाती है। यहाँ के शाही दरवाज़े, चौक, गलियारे, दरीखाना, कमरे, हर कोने से मेवाड़ी शानो-शौकत की झलक दिखाई देती है।

Budget 2020 Highlights: At a glance

The Finance Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman presented her second Union Budget of the year 2020-21 in Parliament on 1st February 2020.

Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the second time after Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) returned to power.

The Union Budget of 2020-21 is primarily focusing on empowering the educational sector in the Financial Year 2020-21 and new education policy will be revealed soon for the same.

Sitharaman also proposed a new income tax slabs. Here are some highlights from the Union Budget 2020-21.

Taxable income slabs and corresponding tax rates:

  • Up to Rs. 5 lakh – Nil
  • Rs 5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh – 10%
  • Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh – 15%
  • Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12.5 lakh – 20%
  • Rs 12.5 lakh to Rs 15 lakh – 25%
  • Rs 15 lakh and above – 30%

Union Budget 2020 Highlights:

  • To simplify the tax system and lower tax rates, around 70 of more than 100 income tax deductions and exemptions have been removed.
  • Dividend Distribution Tax (DDT) is removed. Companies will not be required to pay DDT. Dividend to be taxed only at the hands of recipients, at applicable rates.
  • Cash reward system envisaged incentivising customers to seek invoice.
  • Tax on cooperative societies reduced to 22% without exemptions.
  • To end tax harassment, new taxpayer charter to be instituted.
  • Proposes to amend the Companies Act to bring criminal liability in certain areas.
  • Aadhaar-based verification of taxpayers is being introduced to weed out a dummy or non-existent units; instant online allotment of PAN on the basis of Aadhaar.
  • Registration of charity institutions to be made completely electronic, donations made to be pre-filled in IT return the form to claim exemptions for donations easily.
  • Tax holiday for affordable housing extended by 1 year.
  • Govt plans to sell part of its holding in Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) by way of Initial Public Offering.
  • Customs duty raised on footwear to 35% from 25% and on furniture goods to 25% from 20%.
  • Excise duty proposed to be raised on Cigarettes and other tobacco products, no change made in the duty rates of bidis.
  • Basic customs duty on imports of newsprint and light-weight coated paper reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • Customs duty rates revised on electric vehicles and parts of mobiles.
    5% health cess to be imposed on the imports of medical devices, except those exempt from BCD.
  • Lower customs duty on certain inputs and raw materials like a fuse, chemicals, and plastics.
  • Higher customs duty on certain goods like auto-parts, chemicals, etc. which are also being made domestically.
  • New Simplified return for GST from April 2020.
  • Start-ups with turnover up to Rs. 100 crore to enjoy a 100% deduction for 3 consecutive assessment years out of 10 years.
  • App-based invoice financing loans product to be launched, to obviate the problem of delayed payments and cash flow mismatches for MSMEs.
  • Depositor insurance to Rs 5 lakh from the current Rs 1 lakh to help bank depositors.
  • Banking Regulation Act to be amended to strengthen Cooperative banks.
  • New common entrance test for non-gazetted government jobs and public sector banks.
  • Special bridge courses to be designed by the Ministries of Health, and Skill Development to fulfil the demand for teachers, nurses, para-medical staff and caregivers abroad.
  • 5 new Smart Cities to be set up via the PPP model.
  • 100 more airports to be set up by 2024 to support UDAN scheme.
  • Accelerated development of highways will be undertaken; Delhi-Mumbai expressway and two other projects to be completed by 2023. Chennai-Bengaluru Expressway to be started.
  • NHAI to monetize 12 lots of highway bundles of over 6,000 km before 2024.
  • Young engineers and management graduates will be roped in for infrastructure projects under the Project Preparation Facility.

8 year old Saivi Singh’s name registered in International Olympiad Hall of Fame

Eight-year-old Udaipur girl, Saivi Singh’s name has entered in the ‘Hall of Fame’ in International Science Olympiad. Saivi is the first student from Udaipur to get this achievement.

International Science Olympiad is a test of competency and proficiency in Science which is held annually at both National and International levels. Hall of Fame is awarded to those who set a record by competing with students from around the world.

Saivi had earlier set a record of 1443 stories telling by seeing the pictures. Besides, she is also the first one from Rajasthan to be selected as a ‘Team Squad’ for Amar Chitra Katha’s Tinkle Comic Studio.

Rajasthan State Transports Corporation will have 50 new buses running in the state

To boost the public transport facility in the state, Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) is launching 50 new buses to its fleet. Udaipur will get 5 new buses out of these 50.

The new buses are expected to hit the road in February.

The State Transport has waited for more than two and a half year to get revived with a set of the new fleet. State Roadways had released a tender of 876 new buses out of which 50 buses were to hit the road by January last week.

However, due to some technical issues, the delivery got delayed and now the buses will be available in February first week. The next set of buses are expected to come by the end of February or March first week.
