Aspire and iCarnegie sign MoU with Techno India NJR, followed by IW-FOSS 2011

Aspire Human Capital Management and iCarnegie (subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University) announced that they have signed an MoU with Techno India NJR Institute of Technology, Udaipur to prepare their Computer Science and IT students through ITProTM, Aspire’s embedded employability education product. ITProTM content has been developed by faculty at iCarnegie, a subsidiary of Carnegie Mellon University and is a 12-course, 8-semester Software Development Program to be delivered over 4 years, with access to best in-class iCarnegie content and delivery methodology. Aspire’s India’s leading embedded employability education company, exclusively markets this iCarnegie content in India with a vision to excel and create global employability opportunity for every student of its college. 

As per the agreement, Aspire, which works extensively in the field of employability training, will first train selected final semester students from computer science/IT stream to make them more industry ready. Students from the Computer Science/IT at Techno India NJR Institute of Technology will receive world-class “industry-centric” and “employability enhancing” technology education through this program. The program will help them become future-ready with global certification from iCarnegie on successful completion of this embedded course. The Techno India NJR Institute of Technology has been operational since 2008.

On the occasion of its launch on 5th December 2011, a press conference was held at TINJR, alongwith inauguration of iCarnegie ITProTM Lab at Techno India NJR.

In the evening, there was an International Workshop on Free and Open Source Softwares (IW-FOSS) held in Techno India NJR, where Chief Guest for the workshop was Prof. Sorel Reisman and presiding guest was Mr. Satish Babu, alongwith Mr. John Walz as the guest speaker who interacted with the students, and made them aware of the importance of free and open source softwares. Prof. Piyush Javeria’s contribution to the IEEE platform was praised by the dignitaries, followed by the inauguration of the website prepared by the student members of the IEEE for the IEEE Computer Society Student Branch at Techno NJR. The program was followed by cultural events where every guest was given a warm welcome by the traditional performances of our own Udaipur. Have a look on the glimpse of the workshop below.
