Jodhpur’s 24 Gigapixel Image: Zoom into the tiniest detail of the Blue City!

After Udaipur’s Gigapixel image, Pranshu Dubey has come up with an amazing and yet another mesmerizing image of the Blue City Jodhpur. This gigapixel image of Jodhpur is so sharp that you can even see people walking around, windows, panels and every tiny detail. The blue city looks tremendous with Umaid Bhawan standing tall and secluded with its majesty in the background.

It is truly hypnotizing!

All About Jodhpur’s Gigapixel Image

A gigapixel image is a digital image made up of one billion pixels, which is 1000 times the information captured by a 1-megapixel digital camera!!!

Advanced digital photography technique is what you can call this. Jodhpur’s Gigapixel is made from 351 individual 50-megapixel images which sum up to a total resolution of 24,000 megapixels or 24 gigapixels. (Okay! This is huge!!)

Wondering which camera was used to capture these images? These 351 images were shot on Canon 5ds 50-megapixels. This method of making a gigantic picture/image lies in the beauty and finesse of stitching the images (here 351 images). These images are stitched together to form a brilliant image that can be zoomed in and out!

The prime motive of Pranshu behind making these beautifully epic gigapixel images is to promote tourism in the state of Rajasthan. He is photographer specialized in areas of Aerial Photography, Panoramas and interior/exterior photography for hospitality and infrastructure.

How Jodhpur’s gigapixel is different than the Udaipur one?

The brand new thing about this Gigapixel image of Jodhpur is that one can zoom anywhere in the picture to watch extreme details and also take a photo of that particular place and share it with their friends.

Aspiring Music, Inspiring Minds – Aikarth Purohit (Baselard Studios)

For some music is just the source of entertainment whereas for few it is the source of Life. On a happier note, conversation with aspiring artist Aikarth Purohit went pretty happening for us when we got to know his struggle and destiny call that pulled him towards his journey of music. Being the owner of Baselard Studios, a self-proclaimed Music Producer, Guitarist and Composer, Aikarth has carried his worth by never giving up a spirit which was commendable for us.

A self-learned musician with lots of energy and power to build up the platform for many other freelance artists was worth discovery for our team. And, with his music what he exclaimed to us was more of an impressive catch to know…!!

What were the highs and lows you went through your journey of an artist that turned you into Full-time Musician and Guitarist?

Aikarth purohit udaipur

“I was studying in Pune, and there in the hostel, I used to play the guitar, so the focus was not entirely on studies. Then, being there somehow in pressure of studies I went uncomfortable, left everything around and came back to Udaipur. After being here, my parents forced me to go up at least with the engineering if I have left from there. So, I took the admission in RTU and proceeded with the course. Within the duration of 15 days, I met with a fatal accident due to which my right leg got injured, and it was almost cut. Then, at that point, everybody was like now what he will do with his life because of that serious accident. I went through the operation and in that scenario I gave the semester exams as well, but results were not positive enough for me because the college didn’t approve attendance and in that way, 2 years got wasted, and I was unable to complete my graduation.

During all these circumstances, what supported me was my passion for music. So, I asked my parents to allow me for Sound Engineering in Mumbai. But, because of all the previous problems and somehow being into the pressure of relatives to go with respectable degree courses, I was again left with the situation of a dilemma.

Then, after this chaos, I joined the B.C.A. and continued with my music practice here itself. And, with the gradual sessions, composing, and studies too. I came out as a graduate as well a Full-time Musician and Guitarist.”

When did you start with the Baselard Studios?

“During my graduation, I used to practice music at my home only with the Basic Learner’s software ‘FL Studio.’ So, with that beginning with one of my good friend, I started the Baselard Studios, and I continued the learning process in our Home-based Studio for a Year. And, in that time, we worked with many local artists, independent music producers, and freelancers.

baselard studios udaipur

After building up the base, I decided to blow the new heights for Baselard Studios and went up to settle Studio as full-time Music Production place for all the freelance musicians and ad filmmakers. And, leading with that dedication, I got work as well from outside like Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and so on. All these things are going high today with dedication but what’s more surprising is that earlier I was unable to cope up with people that how to explain what I do and now the scenario has been completely different when I visit social gatherings or an event.

What are the five things that you can’t imagine to live without?

“I don’t have to think as series always begins with Music, of course, Guitar, Gyming, Travel, and Nature.”

Who is your music inspiration?

“Yngwie Malmsteen, Chris Broderick, and Slash.”

Do you prefer any favourite genre of songs especially in concerts and in your spare time as well?

guitarist udaipur

“Yeah, I mostly prefer Heavy Metal, Rock, and Neo-classical genre of songs for the big shows and in my free time too. Rest is like if the event or concerts are at mid-level, I prefer Bollywood pop songs, Sufi, Rock and whatever that matches well with the taste of crowd.”

Apart from Guitar, what’s your favourite instrument that you often love to work with?

“Piano – both Conventional and Digital.”

Have you got any professional training or you are still heading with self-learning?

music producer and composer aikarth purohit

“Not so far! I am a self-taught Musician and Guitarist and focused with regular learning through technology.

What’s your ideal thing that you follow when you are not into recordings, music concerts, or composing?

“Gyming…As when I am not into the meetings, recordings, composing, and music concerts, I give my time to fitness and workout.”

Aikarth!! From chaos to upholds, any memories that you cherish till date in your musical journey so far?

music concert in udaipur

“Yeah, there are some good memories of my work and heading to the Baselard Studios, I recorded many covers out of which one was dedicated to Junoon Band, and they shared on their Social Medias as appreciation to me. And, I received the honour of appreciation for Bollywood cover of Meet Bros Song which they tweeted and also shared on their social profiles. Currently, there was a music video shot by Shael Oswal in Udaipur, and I have been the part for that too. Apart from that, there are lot many Renowned Tamil music producers, I have worked with.”

For the people who have never heard your music, explain your sound to them in 5 words.

“Umm… I can say One Stop Solution For Music.”

What’s your motto or the advice for life that you live by and want to share with our reader’s as well?

music composer aikarth purohit

“There is no such advice but yeah all I can say is Follow your Heart, try to beat the flow, and start working for your passion, rest all things will get managed accordingly.”

Aikarth! We can actually sum you up as the real artist. Instead of being in so much of emotional, physical, and mental challenges, you came up like a hardcore gem of the person. We wish you all the very best for your future and upcoming scenario.

Apart from the naturally available food, Indian (and specially Rajasthan) cuisine allow us discover the depth of richness of cooked food that is made especially in winters.

High energy and protein foods provide the required fuel to combat the cold. That’s why many Indian households make ‘sheera’ made up of rava, whole-wheat flour, moong-dal, vermicelli, daliaa, badam). ‘Halwa’ (gajar, doodhi, pumpkin etc.), ‘paak’ and ‘ladoos’ are best for this season. Fresh green fresh whole grains, available in Rajasthan and Gujarat, called ‘ponkh’ are considered a winter delicacy.

One cannot imagine the season without Garama-Garam Gajar ka Halwa with lots of kaju badam. Not just the deliciousness but due to its healthiness, one must not hesitate eating it due to calorie reasons. The beta-carotene in carrots is an excellent source of vitamin A and a powerful anti-oxidant. As far as the calorie factor is concerned, one must remember that anything confined within a limit is always beneficial.

Try delicious bajra, makai or jowar ki roti and serve hot with ghee and jaggery or with baingan bharta and udad ki dal. Jowar and bajra also make great meals during winter. They are rich in calcium and as winter is the time we strengthen our body, these millets help in absorption of calcium and build muscle tissue.

Raab is another specialty of Rajasthan that relishes in winters and can be made of makki, bajra or gur. Makki ki raab is the most popular. It is best suited for winters as it gives enough warmth to the body and thus combats cold.

Lapsi is a special sweet dish of Rajasthan which is meant to eat during winters. This fabulously tasty sweet dish features the goodness of broken wheat and the tantalizing aroma of cardamom.

Try eating garam pyaaz muli parathas with garlic chutney. White radish, onion and garlic (dry and spring varieties): Rich in isothiocyanates and indoles, phytochemicals that help prevent cancer. Their strong flavour helps to pep up the taste of food. Try eating onions and radish fresh as salad in large quantities.

When it comes to green, one cannot forget methi, palak and sarso in this season. We all know it better as methi, loaded with vitamins, minerals, fibre and phytonutrients. It can lower cholesterol, help keep your diabetes under check and more. Make those methi parathas, today!

Palak is counted among the world’s healthiest veggies, thanks to its nutrient richness. Vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and a host of flavonoids that offer antioxidant protection – this leafy vegetable – have them all. Whether you choose to make some palak paneer, or just stir fry it, make sure you’re eating this one!

Eat the very special makki ki roti and sarso ki saag. The young tender leaves of the plant are flavorful. Fresh mustard greens are an excellent source of several vital antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and carotenes. Include the goodness of these leaves in your diet this winter season.

Hara Chana/Fresh Green Garbanzos is an absolute delight with the pods hanging from long leafy stems.   Boil them, add some tomatoes, onions, salt, lemon juice and red chili powder and serve as a snack. The traditional way is to roast it on a sigdi and then eat them. Delicious!

Roast or boil some peanuts and have them with your tea this chilly evening or make some peanut burfi or chikki with jaggery because they freshly arrive in the winter. Peanuts are rich in antioxidants and also provide warmth to our system. Peanuts are a good source of vitamin E and B3. Do you know, it is in fact a good source of monounsaturated fats, it is a heart-friendly food too.

Sesame seeds will keep you warm too. Give a try eating til ke laddoos and til chikkis this winter. Sesame seeds are best eaten during winter season as they produce heat in our body and also serve as a good source of calcium. It is best taken after a meal as it improves digestion. It is a good source of minerals like iron, magnesium, manganese and copper. These seeds help your skin to retain moisture too!

I’m sure no one dislikes eating peas. Add them in your pulav or make some yummy muttar panner. Peas, with their sweet taste and starchy texture come loaded with phytonutrients that provide us with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits. Further, recent research shows that these legumes can help prevent stomach cancer.

In winters another Rajasthan specialty is Gond ke laddoos. Enjoy discovering the special sweetness of this dessert.

Among fruits, Pomegranates are a good source of polyphenols, a powerful antioxidant. It is also a good source of minerals like calcium and phosphorus. This combination works well in boosting our immunity”. Winter is the season for fresh citrus fruits and oranges are our top pick here. This tart-sweet fruit packs in a load of the very essential vitamin-C that helps your body in its fight against germs; in addition to potassium, folate, minerals and fibre. It’s low in calories too! Have you started eating them yet? Well, we have all heard it – “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away”. Bite into one for your mid-day snack, and reap its benefits! Papaya and pineapple are believed to provide warmth. Amla is loaded with Vitamin C, and is very good to step up your immunity. That’s the reason why ‘amla juice’ and ‘amla murabba‘ are available in plenty during winter.

Dates, along with the other dry fruits, are warm in nature and are highly recommended in the winter months. Not only are they a good source of fibre, iron, magnesium, calcium and vitamins (C and B3), they are also a good source of energy. Consume them as they are or as a barfi, pulp or added to milkshakes and smoothies.

The cold weather can interrupt your workout routine and can even send you on a mood roller coaster that can lead to overeating due to stress and boredom. Include proteins as well as carbohydrates in your diet. So this year, spend the cold season staying warm and healthy.

Happy winters Udaipurites!  🙂

[Pictures] Udaipur celebrated birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap

Yesterday was the day of immense pride and honor for the people of Mewar as we all celebrated 472nd birth anniversary of its greatest ruler, Maharana Pratap. Though respect for him never diminishes in any heart, it seems like the birth anniversary gave an occasion to show their respect for this son of Maharana Udai Singh.

Pratap Jayanti | UdaipurBlog

Udaipur was no behind in showing their pride and gratitude towards Pratap and his beloved horse, Chetak. City Council and Kshatriya Mewar Mahasabha organized a rally that started from Moti Magri and ended at Town Hall passing through Chetak Circle, Hathipole, Moti Chohatta, Clock tower, Sindhi Bazar, Soorajpole, Bapu Bazar and Delhi Gate; the bands playing regional Mewari songs of Maharana Pratap and bravery giving Goosebumps to everyone the way.

Pratap Jayanti | UdaipurBlog

The Guest of Honor was Mr. Narendra Modi, CM of Gujrat, who along with the royal prince, Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar started the rally by offering flowers in the feet of Maharana Pratap’s statue at Moti Magri. This was followed by the worship of Chetak at Chetak Circle. The shine of rally was increased by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Rajni Dangi, Mr. Mahendra Singh Shaktawat, Prem Singh Shaktawat and many others.

School kids on their skates were moving first followed in sequence by horse and camel riders holding Saffron flags, members of Mahadev Sena, Mewar Kshatriya Mahasabha and Shooldharini Sena. Jawans of Mewar Sindhu Brigade gracefully played the role of soldiers as they walked holding guns. In the last was the statue of Maharana Pratap and Eklingnath Ji placed in an open jeep. Even the statue of Pratap shined so brightly with bravery and self-esteem that every head bowed out of reflex in front of it.

The rally ended with a programme at Town Hall where Narendra Modi addressed the gathering, expressing his respect for Maharana Pratap and his values and commenting on the state of political parties and the corrupt leaders. He also expressed his pride on Rajasthan – Gujarat relationships and on the progress of Gujarat.

The detailed glimpse of the event can be seen here in the pictures, shot by Mujtaba RG

– The Dirty Pictures

Ugly state of Lake Pichola near Hotel Taj Lake Palace

dirty lake fatehsagar

Lake Pichola

lake Pichola
