Father’s Day – Let’s celebrate this Weekend

fathers day picture

This weekend becomes all the more special as it hosts Father’s Day too. Yes it’s Father’s Day this Sunday; a day to thank the person whom you call “Dad”, “Daddy”, “Papa”, “Baba” etc. etc. etc. By whatever name you call him, whatever the language you may use, the love and respect for father remains the same in each heart irrespective of boundaries and borders.

Children are always more closer to their mother; we share our worries and sorrows and happiness with the lady of the house but very rarely to the man who spends his whole day out working hard to provide us with all luxuries of life. The reason being obvious – he is never at home except at nights and weekends, he always carry that typical silence with him making it all the more difficult for us to share our words with him. But we forget one thing; no matter how less he speaks to us, he loves us and cares for us the same way our mother loves and care for us. We see him as a hard core but no he is also a human being with a heart beating for his children.

So why not break this unspoken silence and tie a bond of loving relationship with this man and make this Father’s Day a memorable one for him. You need not spend a lot of money and have a big show off party or something; you just have to find a way to express your love and respect for him and a glittering smile won’t leave his face the whole day long. If you are confused how to do that then I’ll again say “When UB is here, there is nothing to fear”. 🙂 This weekend we will help you with some plans to make it a remarkable Father’s Day for your family.

Let’s try your hand with ‘karchi and kadai’. 😉 make a dish with your hands for your dad, be it his favorite dish or the one we are sharing with you. And if you are a master chef of your kitchen then you can even make a whole meal for him. Here we are sharing the recipe of “Paneer Chilli” taken out right from the kitchen of “Swastik Restaurant” in Fatehpura. I being a big big fan of it can say that it’s the best Paneer Chilli you can get in Udaipur.

Paneer Chilli

Ingredients :-

Paneer – 200gm (cut into square pieces of appropriate sizes), Maida – 100gm, Corn flour – 50gm, Capsicum (cut into square pieces of same size as that of Paneer), Onion (also cut into same size), Ginger, Garlic, 2-3 green chilli cut into small pieces, Soya sauce, Ajeenomotto (Chinese salt), Table Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Oil for deep frying

Procedure :-

  • Make a smooth batter (paste) by mixing Maida and Corn flour in one-fourth cup of water.
  • Coat the pieces of paneer in batter and deep fry it in the hot oil till the pieces turn light brown.
  • Take a Frying pan / Kadhai and put it on gas. Add some oil in it and then add garlic, ginger, onion, capsicum and green chilli. Saute over high flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Now add soya sauce, corn flour paste and salt (to taste) and allow it to come to boil.
  • Put in the fried paneer and mix well.
  • Serve hot garnished with green chilli and onion.

Don’t forget to put a hand-made greeting card along with the dish on the dining table. Enjoy the tempting dish with the whole family and make the evening a delicious one. 😉

Who doesn’t like gifts..?? Everyone does and even your father will love to receive a gift from you, no matter how small it may be. Or plan a surprise party for him; but make sure it’s just a family party. Blindfold him and take him to the venue, cut a cake, enjoy a scrumptious dinner and dance till your feet ache. Make sure the special person for the day accompanies you in every activity.

Don’t forget to capture the moments with a click of your camera and share your experiences with us.

Happy Weekend 🙂 and Happy Father’s Day 🙂 🙂

Dehydration in Summers: How to manage it

Aaah, Summers!! blazing red hot sun over your head, elevating mercury,  hot humid air, sweating, itching, thirst, sun burns, fainting, and dehydration, these are the common words with which we welcome the summers. In summers, when the temperature rises our body tries to sweat more to maintain an equilibrium between the inside and outside temperature difference.  Higher the temperature more will be the sweating to regulate the temperature of our body and more will be the loss of water from the body.

Dehydration | UdaipurBlog

Dehydration is the most common problem of hot summers. It is the condition when body loses more water than it holds. The human body is about 60-70 % water depending on its size. In normal metabolic processes, sweating and urinating, there is loss of water, and this gets fasten with the onset of summers. It may occur due to many etiologies, like sun heat, diarrhea, vomiting, or due to any long term illness. Replenishment of this loss is very necessary for a healthy living. Here I am compiling few tips which may help you hydrating this summer.

  • Drink lots and lots of water. It will keep your body hydrated. We should drink at least 8-10 glass of water a day to battle the heat and replenish the water lost through excessive sweating.
  • Eat fruits. Seasonal fruits such as watermelon and cucumber are the best way to avoid being dehydrated this season. These have high water and fiber content and are the best options as summer snacks and when we don’t prefer the tasteless water. Plus these fruits will keep you hydrated and healthy in summers.
  • Add water content in your food. Salad, sprouts along with vegetables such as spinach, tomato, lauki (bottleground) similarly dairy products such as milk, curd and paneer can provide us with enough water to avoid the loss.
  • Other sources of water. Coconut water, lassi, buttermilk (chaach), sugarcane juice and juices of seasonal fruits will be great options to regain the minerals and fluids lost.
  • Avoid heavy, spicy and fried food items. Pickle, fried chips, namkeen and papad should be avoided.
  • Work hard, but indoor workout will be better. Exercise is a must to keep you fit and healthy. But with the increasing temperature, you need to work out with caution, because your hard work will make you sweat, more calorie burn and more water loss. Taking breaks in between and sipping more water will keep you well hydrated.
  • Clothing plays an important role in preventing perspiration. Don’t opt dark colored, tight fitted dresses; instead go for light flourishing colors, cotton fabric, loose fitted with half sleeves.  This will give your skin a chance to breathe.
  • Avoid alcohol. Alcohol or other items which contain alcohol acts as a diuretic, that is, they increase the frequency of urination.
  • Cover yourself with scarf and umbrella while roaming around. This will prevent your skin tanning, hair drying and sunstroke.
  • In a case of vomiting, diarrhea, immediately consult your doctor.

These are few steps to beat the unbearable heat and the accompanying dehydration in this season. So don’t keep yourself away from the fun. Grab the hats, water bottles, guard yourself safely and face the challenge of harsh hot rays of sun.

What is common in youth of every city now?

They all really want to be self dependent in any way out ,for some it is a way to prove their families, friends that they are worth earning in thousands along with their college studies, for some it might be financial crisis.

Solution : And most of the people end up with one solution and that is “NIGHT SHIFT JOB”. And for these youngster’s there are industries like BPO, KPO who are there to recruit all of these college-going girls and boys easily.

bpo jobs

And soon this casual job becomes a priority cause of the salary and incentive they provide. A major point which I see is, there are a lot many engineering students doing a call center job where there mind get stucked in doing a same kind of work for as long as a year.

There is when the creativity of an engineer fades away where as he is supposed to learn about new inventions, machines each day.

But Behind the easy money for the undergraduates there are some medical facts they really ought to know :

  • One of the worst things you can do to disrupt your body clock is engage in regular night shift work. (research says)
  • Working the Night Shift May Increase Your Diabetes Risk Nearly 60 Percent
  • Working the night shift increases women’s risk of type 2 diabetes.
  • Reduced ability to fight cancer.
  • Blood pressure instability.
  • Night shift makes metabolism go haywire.

Well, until last few years this was just the problem with the metropolitian youngsters from mumbai to delhi.

But now, with the growth of outsourcing in India even in developing cities like udaipur we now have some fifties of BPO,KPO companies with their efficient undergraduate worker’s, though somewhere it’s a good source for employment for the the youth but then I want all of them to be aware of the consequences they could face and the steps what they should take.

But when if a NIGHT SHIFT JOB is a need for someone, then more he need is ” TIME MANAGEMENT”.

A Healthy Sleep Routine is Essential for All, also one should never prefer over-time in a night shift job , that will just make you more exhausted. If it is no way possible for one to avoid his/her night shift timings, one can somewhat challenge the health effects by keeping a schedule. By being consistent your body’s clock will eventually adjust to your sleep/wake cycle, and this is LESS damaging than if you constantly change shifts and accept your body clock to adjust.

At the end I’d like to say to my friends that their age is not to earn but to learn.

Loafers In fashion for Mens

Loafer's In Trend

Loafer’s shoes give your feet comfort for a whole day’s work, and exude style that takes you into the realm of formal.

Loafers began their journey in Norway. Norwegian farmers wore these low cut shoes to protect their feet while feeding cows in ‘cattle loafing areas’. Esquire magazine’s photograph of Norwegian farmers led the design department of the Spaulding family towards this shoe. Spaulding’s chose the name ‘Loafer’ for the casual, flat slip-ons.

In 1934, boot maker GH Bass introduced the modern day incarnations of men’s loafers. From Norway to the rest of Europe and from there to the US, and then on becoming a global phenomenon, it has been a long a journey for this casual style.

Bass called his loafers ‘Weejuns’ and added the modern design of a strip across the vamp with a diamond cut.

Shoe stylists soon began to use the cut out for embellishments, especially pennies. That’s the story of penny loafers!

Though brown is the most popular hue for this casual shoe, you can buy men’s loafers online in tan, black, green and even red. Surf through our online shop to pick colors that are classic, classy as well as contemporary.

Bollywood New Fashion tattoo

From inky black to a colorful mix of myriad hues, the gals and guys in the B-Town are making sure their tattoos speak volumes when they make an appearance on screen.

Whether it is getting inked because the Tattoo complements the character in the film or it ups the curiosity about the various emotional shades of a character among the viewer, tattooing is now back.

Like Shahrukh Khan in Don 2 or Ajay Devgn in golmaal 3 and Sanjay Dutt in Agneepath, Not so long ago the sizzling Bebo lit up the silver screen with her tattoos in the film Ashoka as she played princess Kaurwaki.

Aishwarya rai Bachchan too mesmerised the audience with sporting traditional body art along her midriff in the film Shakti.

——

Sanjay Dutt:

Emphatic moves with his leading lady Lisa in Rascals surely got the movie lovers take notice of his Shiva tattoo etched on his biceps.

In his next, Agneepath, the camera has exploited all the angles that make the actor’s body art look more enigmatic thereby complementing his character.

Arjun Rampal

Having sported tattoos in his earlier movies like Ek Ajnabee, in Ra.One, he went many steps further. It looked like Rampal’s body was a playfield for a tattoo artist. Owing to this, though the actor made a brief appearance in the film, he grabbed eyeballs.

Deepika Padukone

Her item number in the movie Dum Maaro Dum, her tattoo also did the talking. It’s not the RK tattoo that we are talking about. It is the cobra tattoo that peeped out of her tummy on the sizzling item song Dum Maaro Dum.

Ajay Devgn

Ajay Devgn as cop in Singham. He was not only talked about for his well-toned abs but also for his Shiva tattoo. These designs were also visible on his torso in Golmaal 3. The trishul on his neck was introduced to add another shade of curiosity to his ‘freak’ look in the movie.

John Abraham

Stunts that did in his recently released movie Force apart, the inky patterns across his arms become a hot topic of discussion.

Follow the Bollywood style for Boys

Men’s style can be difficult, not because there’s too much choice but because there’s too little. Take a cue from Bollywood, India’s most powerful Industry of fashion.

model khanizum

Style isn’t about going out and buying something you saw in a movie but “It’s about how you put things together and most importantly, being comfortable in what you are wearing.

Sounds good, but no idea how to put that into action? Well here are 5 films and its styling which you can follow in your daily fashion.

1. Rockstar (2011)

The look: Dhoti pyjamas with T-shirts and military jackets

Ranbir Kapoor’s desi-meets-rock looks in the movie’s title role is one of Bollywood’s style highlights these days , both striking and with excellent cultural referencing. Ranbir wears checked dhotis with T-shirts and jackets, junk jewellery and army caps, very well we can get here from old city side in silver and metal. So yes, it’s safe to assume that if you tried to copy that from head to toe you would get more than a few strange looks. The trick to making this work in real life is to pick only the basic elements — wear either the dhoti and T-shirt or the jacket with your most casual jeans.

2. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011)

The look: Hats, scarves, waistcoats, bracelets, leather flip-flops

Farhan Akhtar upped the style quotient with accessories. His character Imran does what fashion calls high-low style — mixing branded designer wear with street finds with ease. He wears kurtas with jeans, Converse sneakers and designer sunglasses; kolhapuri slippers with linen suits, hats with T-shirts and waistcoats, and scarves with sleeveless tees. It was all very casual and very cool.

3. Aisha (2010)

The look: Slim suits in mixed neutral shades As investment banker Arjun Burman, that is Abhay deol can’t really stray from the job’s uniform — business suits. He wears thin, notched-lapel, two-button blazers with white shirts and diagonal striped ties, all very understated and elegant.

4. Wake Up Sid! (2009)

The look: T-shirts with cartoon-character prints and jeans

RK once again. This time his character Sid is your garden variety slacker with a rich dad. He’s also young, and he loves his cartoons. Every T-shirt has a character printed on it: Mickey Mouse, The Joker, Batman, Beavis and Butthead, Atom Ant, Robin, Superman and The Hulk, Sadda haq. “T-shirts are a basic building block in your wardrobe, including the plain onces.

5. Rock On!! (2008)

The look: Faded jeans with T-shirts, a shirt shrugged on top Rock On. Ushered in another good day for fashion.

“It was very casual, not heavy metal, but very much in the framework of rocker,” Aged, comfort fit jeans or cargo with a little light layering — open shirts over T-shirts. The accessories– leather Sandals a leather thong around the neck, a bandana. Long hair doesn’t hurt either.

Buying Colors on Holi Happy Holi Udaipur

My Udaipur City
