Who Is an IAS officer..?? IAS i.e. Indian Administrative Service officer is basically a term used for collectors or the ones who roams in a “LAL BATTI” car if I talk in a typical common man language. [Fictional Letter] Teachers Day Special : “आपने डैडी की इतनी हेल्प क्यों की ?”

प्यारी सुशीला कोठारी जी,

पहले मैं आपको अपना इंट्रोडक्शन दे दूँ. मेरा नाम रिषित है. मैं 6 साल का हूँ, सनबीम स्कूल में पढता हूँ और उदयपुर में रहता हूँ. ये चिट्ठी मैं आपको छिप कर लिख रहा हूँ और पता नहीं कि आपतक मेरे ये छोटे छोटे अक्षर पहुंचेगे भी कि नहीं. पर मैं लिख रहा हूँ क्योंकि मैंने मेरे डैडी को पहली बार रोते हुए देखा है. वो मम्मा से कुछ कह रहे थे और बार बार आपका नाम ले रहे थे.

मैं आपको नहीं जानता. पर डैडी के मुँह से आपका नाम सुनकर आपमें मेरी जिज्ञासा बढ़ना कोई नयी बात नहीं थी. पिछले तीन दिनों की मेरी मेहनत रंग लायी और मेरी फ्रेंड दिशा के पापा, जो मेरे डैडी के स्कूल टाइम से फ्रेंड भी है, ने मुझे आपके बारे में बताया.

अब, आपके बारे में सब कुछ जानने के बाद मैं आपसे मिलना चाहता हूँ. मैंने आपको नहीं देखा, फिर भी दिशा के पापा के मुँह से आपके बारे में सुनने के बाद आपका पिक्चर मेरी आँखों में है. मैंने आपका चेहरा बना लिया है,जिसमे चश्मे के भीतर से झांकती आपकी आँखे मुझे रोजी मिस जैसी लग रही है. रोजी मिस मेरी क्लास टीचर है,जो मुझे बहुत प्यार करती है. पर जानना चाहता हूँ कि आपने डैडी की इतनी हेल्प क्यों की?

दादी ने बताया कि जब डैडी मेरी एज के थे, तब उनके डैडी यानी मेरे दादू भगवान के पास चले गए. जितने टॉय मेरे पास है, उतने टॉय से डैडी कभी नहीं खेले. उन्होंने इतनी चोकलेट्स भी नहीं खायी. और मेरी फेवरेट आइसक्रीम तो टेस्ट भी नहीं की. दादू नहीं थे तो उनको ये सब कौन लाकर देता ? मैं समझता हूँ. पर फिर से आपसे पूछ रहा हूँ, आपने डैडी की इतनी हेल्प क्यों की? मेरी रोज़ी मिस तो मुझे सिर्फ टॉफी देती है पर आपने डैडी को खूब सारी प्यारी प्यारी टेक्स्ट बुक्स दी थी. क्या उसमे छोटा भीम और डोरेमोन के फोटो भी थे ?

आपने डैडी के साथ रहकर उन्हें पोएम्स लिखना भी सिखाया. सच कहूँ, तो इस बात से मैं आपसे खफा हूँ. मुझे उनकी पोएम्स समझ में ही नहीं आती. वो बहुत बड़ी जो होती है.  पर दिशा के पापा बता रहे थे कि आप मेरे डैडी को खूब सारे कम्पीटिशन में ले कर जाती थी और उस से डैडी बड़े बड़े प्राइज जीतकर लाते थे. मेरे ड्राइंग रूम में वो सारी ट्रोफी’ज अभी भी शोकेस में पड़ी हुई है. डैडी को जब इंग्लिश में ट्यूशन की ज़रूरत हुई तो आपने किसी अरोड़ा सर को बोलकर उनसे डैडी को फ्री में ट्यूशन पढाने को भी बोला. ओह गोड! मैं तो स्कूल में ही पढ़-पढ़ कर थक जाता हूँ. डैडी तो उसके बाद भी ट्यूशन पढ़ने जाते थे !

दिशा के पापा ने मुझे बताया कि आप डैडी का स्कूल में बहुत खयाल रखती थी, बिलकुल रोज़ी मिस के जैसे या शायद उस से भी ज्यादा. आपके कारण ही डैडी ने केमिस्ट्री नाम के किसी सब्जेक्ट में सबसे ज्यादा नम्बर पाए. ये सब्जेक्ट मेरे कोर्स में नही है और आप भी मेरे पास नहीं. अगर मेरे भी ये सब्जेक्ट होता तो आपके बिना मैं उसमे पास कैसे होता ? एक बार जब स्कूल प्रिंसिपल ने डैडी को क्लास से बाहर निकाल दिया था तो आप उनसे लड़ पड़ी थी आपने तब तक लंच नही लिया था,जब तक कि प्रिंसिपल ने डैडी को माफ नहीं किया था.

क्यों लड़ती थी आप सब से डैडी के लिए? क्यों आप उनके लिए नई नई बुक्स लेकर आती थी? क्यों आपने उनको इतना आगे बढ़ने के अवसर दिए? क्यों आपने उनको इतने प्राइज दिलवाए? प्रिंसिपल से लड़ दी ? इसका उत्तर दिशा के पापा ने नहीं दिया, बोले कि मैं बहुत छोटा हूँ, नहीं समझूंगा.

कल मैंने आपके लिए एक प्यारा सा टॉय गिफ्ट लिया है. वो मैं आपको देना चाहता हूँ. मुझे आपका अड्रेस नहीं पता, दिशा के पापा को भी नहीं पता, बस उन्होंने इतना बताया कि आप सेक्टर पांच में कहीं रहती है ! मेरे डैडी से मैं नहीं पूछना चाहता. वो फिर से रोने लगेंगे. आपको ये चिट्ठी मिले तो प्लीज़ मुझसे मेरे स्कूल में आकर मिलना. मुझे आपसे खूब बातें करनी है और आपको रोज़ी मिस से भी मिलवाना है. आप आएँगी ना !!

As the National Independence Day approaches, the patriotic feeling within us starts arousing. There are various points that makes us feel proud of being born in India. Here are the ten things that makes me proud being an Indian:

1. ENVIRONMENT RICH WITH DIFFERENT FLAVORS:

India’s environment is rich with many different flavours. Beautiful Mountains, Graceful Rivers, Aggressive Desert and Dangerous Wildlife to name a few. The world praises its natural beauty and that’s the reason tourism in India is the largest service industry with the contributions of 8.78% of the total employment in the country.

2. LAND WITH EMOTIONS:

Being an Indian the emotional bonding are much more. India is rich with emotion filled moments; rather a speech by a politician, a scold by a teacher or care by a mother. A feeling at home on Sunday or daily workload at office, No water supply one day or unclean roads, List is endless. We Indians are no doubt rich with variety of emotions. “Tabhi toh Sochte hai ‘Dil Se’ karte hai “Dil se’.”

3. YOUR LIFESTYLE, YOUR CHOICE:

India have a flavour of the amazing diversified culture from all over the world. The Indian culture has been rigid and that’s why it’s surviving with pride in Modern era. India has been declared a secular state by its own constitution. Here we can see different religions and castes like no other place in the world. Together locating the temples and mosques. A friends group is rich with different castes and religions, which proves us how the cultures and castes of India diversify.

9. MOUTH-WATERING CUISINE:

Indian cuisine is rich with wide variety of regional natives to India. This cuisine varies because of soil types, climates, occupations and influenced by cultural values and religion. Our Spices, vegetables and fruits are rich with mouth-watering tastes and it’s also the fragrance which creates magic. The variety is immense, colourful, aromatic and inexpensive even at top rated hotels. No wonder, it’s the third most popular cuisine in the world and nor it will be surprising when it becomes the first.

10. INDIAN WEDDING:

In India, there is no greater event in a family than a wedding. Wedding in India are beautifully celebrated like nowhere in the world. We dance; we sing and celebrate it like a national festival. It symbolizes our tradition, our culture and heritage. They extend to a week celebration and filled with emotions, glamour and glazes. Various events bring Chuckle and laughter while some other makes we cry. They vary from region to region because of our diversified traditions. Now this has set a trend in foreign countries too to marry in royal way like Indians do.

From Banyan Roots to Vat Vriksh : A step forward

Why the name “vat vriksh” ?

As the tree vat vriksh(banyan tree) supports a whole lot of plants, animals and even human beings, in the same way the production centre vat vriksh supports 32 farmers in backward villages who are working with organic farming techniques.

 

What all do they produce?

Rice, Wheat, Corn, Pulses, Lentil, Gram, Spices, Ghee, Peanut Oil, Mustard Oil, Herbal Tea, Hair Oil, Thyme, Sulphur free Sugar, Tea, Coffee (these three products we do not produce we source it from organic farming association of India network) Papad etc. and various other food materials without the use of harmful pesticides.

They only use compost (leaves and green food waste) to increase fertility of the ground, neem to keep away insects, and other organic methods which are forgotten and were in use long back.

 

What are we actually eating!

  • According to a Survey by WHO, Our food has 40 times more toxic chemicals than permitted.
  • An apple a day, keeps GOOD HEALTH away!
    Yes, our own government reports suggests that banned pesticides like CHLORDANE, HEPTACHLOR and DDT are present in our food.
  • Fruits, vegetables, meat, milk and even water are all laced with high levels of pesticide residue. (numerous times above the maximum residue limits<mrl> setup by Indian law.

  • Pesticides are Poisons, meant mainly to kill living organisms of different kinds (organophosphate pesticides, for instance, have been originally developed as nerve poisons during World War II)
  • According to satyamev jayete’s episode 08: it says that, “For decades our food and water have been contaminated by powerful, harmful pesticides which have been promoted as necessary for better agricultural output. But the reality is that we don’t need pesticides for better yield, and the use of these pestisides is not only deadly for health but results in expensive farming methods. The solution is to adopt organic farming, which is possible and profitable”

आज कारगिल विजय दिवस है

आज 26 जुलाई है. कारगिल विजय दिवस. जब बर्फ और सर्दी की आड़ में भारत के अभिन्न अंग कश्मीर के बड़े हिस्से में पाकिस्तानी सेना ने अपना अवैध कब्ज़ा जमा लिया, आज ही के दिन भारतीय सेना के जाबांज जवानो ने उसे मुक्त करवाया.

अपनी घुमक्कड प्रवृति के चलते अब तक दो बार लद्दाख हो आया हूँ. जब भी वहाँ जाता हूँ तो द्रास-कारगिल से गुज़रना होता है. हर बार वहाँ सिर पहले झुकता है, उन शहीदों की याद में, जिन्होंने दुश्मनों को नाको चने चबवा दिए…. और फिर तत्काल सिर गर्व से उठ जाता है, सीना चौड़ा हो जाता है, एक भारतीय होने के फख्र से.. अपनी सेना की बहादुरी पर…

चलिए आज आपको कारगिल विजय दिवस पर ले चलता हूँ.. धरती के स्वर्ग कश्मीर की गोद में बसे द्रास शहर और वहाँ स्थित कारगिल वार मेमोरियल के दर्शन करने…

द्रास शहर. श्रीनगर और कारगिल के बीच बसा कस्बा. इसे दुनिया का दूसरा सबसे ठंडा रिहाइशी इलाका होने का गर्व प्राप्त है. श्रीनगर से बालटाल, सोनमर्ग होते हुए जोजिला दर्रा पार करके यहाँ पहुंचा जा सकता है. जब आप यहाँ से गुजर रहे होते है तो नियंत्रण रेखा के सबसे करीब होते है. (जी हाँ, बिलकुल सही समझा आपने, आप यहाँ पाकिस्तानी तोपों की रेंज में होते है.)

कारगिल वार मेमोरियल का मुख्य द्वार. वैसे यह युद्ध मूलतः द्रास में लड़ा गया,किन्तु इसे नाम मिला कारगिल युद्ध. द्रास कस्बा कारगिल जिले में आता है. यह स्थान द्रास कस्बे से लगभग सात किमी दूर  NH 01A पर स्थित है. वार मेमोरियल स्थल तोलोलिंग की पहाड़ियों की तलहटी में बना है, जहाँ युद्ध के समय जवानो का बेस केम्प हुआ करता था. यहाँ से टाइगर हिल्स की कुल घुमावदार सड़क दुरी 28 kms है.

अमर जवान ज्योति. शहीदों को नमन. इस युद्ध को ऑपरेशन विजय का नाम दिया गया था. राष्ट्रीय ध्वज के साथ यहाँ युद्ध में शरीक होने वाली सेना की टुकडियों के ध्वज लहरा रहे है. यहाँ एक जवान हमेशा शहीदों के सम्मान में सावधान की मुद्रा में खड़ा रहता है.

युद्ध शहीदों के नाम यहाँ सुनहरे अक्षरों में लिखे है. जाट रेजिमेंट, राजपुताना राइफल्स का नाम सबसे पहले देखकर हर किसी राजस्थानी का सीना गर्व से चौड़ा हो जाता है. पंजाब रेजिमेंट, गोरखा राइफल्स, बिहार, सिख, लद्दाख की रेजिमेंटो ने भी अपने सपूत खोये. अमर वाक्य लिखा है यहाँ…
“शहीदों की चिताओं पर, लगेंगे हर बरस मेले,

वतन पर मिटने वालो का, यही बाकी निशाँ होगा…”

म्यूजियम में रखे शहीदों के अस्थि कलश. ये उन शहीदों की अस्थियां है, जिन्हें पहचाना नहीं जा सका. पर ये वे है जो हमेशा के लिए अमर हो गए….सिर्फ हमारे लिए, ताकि हम आराम से यहाँ त्यौहार मना सके…. अगली बार जब इस दिवाली आप अपने घर सजा रहे हो, तो एक दीपक इन अनाम शहीदों के लिए ज़रूर लगाएं…

ये है, पाकिस्तानी सेना द्वारा बरसाए गए मोर्टारों और टॉप गोलों के अवशेष. ये सिर्फ मोर्टारों के पिछले हिस्से (टेल) है. आप सोचिये, ये मोर्टार कितने बड़े और तबाही मचाने वाले होंगे..!! उस पर हालात ये कि पाकिस्तानी सेना पहाड़ की छोटी से हमला कर रही थी, जबकि भारतीय जवान तलहटी से उन पर जवाबी कार्रवाही कर रहे थे.

आज हम यहाँ बैठ दिन भर टीवी पर उन दिनों की कवरेज देखेंगे, कल हुए नए राष्ट्रपति के शपथ ग्रहण समारोह को देखेंगे… सोचिये उन दिनों हाड कंपा देने वाली सर्दी में किस तरह उन जाबांजो ने देश की रक्षा करते हुए कैसे तनाव के क्षणों में समय बिताया होगा..!!!

उन दिनों महान कवि (स्वर्गीय )श्री हरिवंश राय बच्चन ने अपनी अमर कविता “अग्निपथ” की चंद पंक्तियाँ स्वयं लिखकर भारतीय सेना की हौंसला अफजाई की थी. उसी हस्तलिखित कविता को म्यूजियम में फ्रेम करवा के रखा गया है… ये पंक्तियाँ हमें आज भी लगातार आगे बढते रहने की प्रेरणा देती है.

मेरे सपनो की बारिश, कब आओगी तुम ??

वर्षा ऋतू हमें गहराई तक छूती है. सावन में सिर्फ तन ही नहीं भीगता, अंदर तक भिगो जाती है बरखा की बूंदें… सावन की रिम झिम फुहारों के बीच उगते अंकुरों, हरे होते पहाड़ों और, और ज्यादा गहराई तक नीली होती झीलों के बीच हमारा मन “किसी की चाह” हेतु व्याकुल हो उठता है.

पर इस बार चाह किसी और की नहीं, बल्कि बारिश की ही है. ये आये तो किसी और को याद करने का मौक़ा मिले ना ! हरियाली अमावस पर, सोचा कि शहर के कमीनेपन से दूर जब गांव के निर्मल मन फतहसागर और सहेलियों की बाड़ी आयेंगे तो इंद्र को मजबूर होना ही पड़ेगा… पर इस बार भी हमेशा की तरह मेरा अनुमान गलत निकला ! उनकी पुपाडी की आवाज़ मेघों तक नहीं पहुंची. उनका सजना सवरना व्यर्थ गया…!!

बलम प्यारा, सावन आयो रे…”

 

सावन तो आयो पण बरखा कोनी आई .. परणी जोड़ी का भरतार, अब तुझे कैसे पुकारें..!! कालिदास ने मेघदूत ग्रन्थ में अपना संदेसा पहुँचाने के लिए बादलों को जरिया बनाया था.. वे जाकर प्रेमिका पर बरसते थे.. यहाँ तो सबकुछ सूखा- सूखा… कैसे भीगेगा प्रेमिका का तन- मन… क्या जुगत बिठाये अब ??

बचपन के दिन याद आते है. मुझे बचपन में अपनी भुआजी के यहाँ गांव में रहने का खूब मौका मिला. बारिश में भीगते भीगते खूब जामुन खाते थे. पेड पर चढ़ने की भी ज़रूरत नहीं होती थी, खुद-ब-खुद जामुन बारिश की मार से ज़मीं पर आ गिरते थे. मक्की की बुवाई होती थी… गीली मूंगफली को खेतों की पाल पर ही सेक कर खाते थे. भुट्टे का मज़ा, मालपुए की ठसक…क्या क्या आनंद होते थे. कच्ची झोपडी के केलुओं से बारिश की झर झर गिरती धार… और उस पर गरमा गरम राब… भुआ तवे पर चिलडे बनाती थी..आटे का घोल जब गरम गरम तवे पर गिरता था तो एक सौंधी महक मन में बस जाती थी. गांव के लोग इकठ्ठा होकर एक जगह सामूहिक प्रसादी करते थे. तेग के तेग भरकर खीर बनती थी और बनती थी बाटियां … आज बस उनकी यादें शेष है. आज 260 रुपये किलो वाले मालपुए लाकर खा लेते है, और खुश हो लेते है.. पर उसमे माटी की वो सौंधी खुशबु नहीं होती.

खैर अब अपन शहर में रहते है. कार की खिडकी खोलकर बारिश में हाथ भिगोने का मज़ा हो या बाइक लेकर फतहसागर पर चक्कर लगाने का मौका… हमें सब चाहिए, पर निगोडी बारिश पता नहीं किस जनम का बदला ले रही है.. उमस ने जीना मुहाल कर रखा है. खाली फतहसागर पर मन नहीं लगता. पिछोला में देवास का पानी आने की क्षणिक खुशी हुई ही थी कि लो जी वहाँ भी चक्कर पड़ गया. अब तो बस श्रीनाथजी का ही आसरा है. क्योंकि बारिश नहीं हुई तो उनका नौका विहार कैसे होगा. लालन लालबाग कैसे जायेंगे, बंशी कैसे बजेगी, गायें क्या खायेगी…! हम तो जैसे जैसे दो दिन में एक बार आ रहे नल के पानी से काम चला लेंगे किन्तु अगर बारिश नहीं आई तो बेचारे ये निरीह पशु क्या खायेंगे ? गलती इंसान की और भुगते सारे जीव-जंतु..!!! मन बस बार बार अपने   को निर्दोष पाते हुए अपील कर रहा है …
काले मेघा काले मेघा, पानी तो बरसाओ….

They felt the need of a proper guide who does not fancy, but showcases the crystal clear scene. Taking up the initiative themselves, they started with passkarado NIT reviews to help others.

Students clear the AIEEE exam after great toil but even after cracking it, counselling turns the good mood onto its head by complicating the process of having to choose one’s college. Which is the best college I can get at my rank? which branch is better? which college has the best facilities and environment for the branch of my choice? and a lot many questions arise in the mind of students. For answers to these, students and their parents keep visiting various websites, read magazines and articles on counselling and analyze the ranking of various NITs provided on websites and ask friends and relatives about these. It happens that sometimes this information is misleading and when the students enter the college with their great aspirations they see a very different picture of the college from what they had assumed. This happens since these people unknowingly guide according to themselves and mostly these people have no connection with the college. How can a person sitting outside the class can tell what the teacher is teaching inside!! ? The only way is to ask the students who attended the class, isn’t it?

So, believing this idea, www.passkarado.com asked the students pursuing studies at NITs throughout the country to write reviews about their particular branch. In this they were asked about their branch’s positive and negative points, maximum and average packages, faculty, closing rank of their branch, labs, lab attendants, workshops, seminars, branch opportunities, collaborations with other societies and universities round the world, campus, college fests, attendance rules, etc. This information is available to the students free of cost on the website so that they can be guided by the proper mentors for them.

www.passkarado.com has 15 members in its team and they all are committed to help students. Along with the NIT reviews, passkarado is a big name among the websites providing old MNIT, RTU, RPSC papers and full study material.
