Rajasthan Lockdown to be extended till April 30

After Punjab and Odisha, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, on Friday, announced the extension of the lockdown in the state till April 30. The decision has been taken in order to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus.

Earlier on March 21, Rajasthan CM had announced a complete lockdown in the state till March 31. The CM had announced this state-wide lockdown before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the pan-India 21-day lockdown on March 25.

The CM discussed the current situation with the representatives of industrial organisations and various business associations through video conferencing. He said that protecting the lives of people is the most important aspect of the decision of the state government.

The CM said that the entrepreneurs and traders of the state have given their support to the government in handling the situation. They have maintained the supply chain of essential commodities during the lockdown period.

He said, “The government stands with entrepreneurs in this hour of crisis, and industries related to essential commodities, which were allowed to open in lockdown, will not require any kind of permission to conduct their work smoothly”.

Gehlot took feedback from representatives of various associations, heard their suggestions related to the smooth supply of essential commodities and lifting the lockdown.

Earlier the Chief Minister of Punjab, Amarinder Singh Earlier unanimously extended the lockdown till May 1 on Friday. Before that, Odisha PM announced that the lockdown in the state will be extended until the end of this month.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister has scheduled a video conference to interact with the Chief Ministers of the states on Saturday. The PM along with the CMs will decide upon extending the 21-day further.

Udaipur ESIC Hospital becomes COVID-19 Facility

The Labour Ministry on Thursday declared 8 Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC)-run hospitals across the country including Udaipur’s ESIC Hospital as COVID-19 facility.

Alternative provision has been made for providing medical services from tie-up hospital if an ESIC hospital is declared as a dedicated COVID-19 hospital to cater exclusively to corona suspected/confirmed cases.

ESI beneficiaries may also seek emergency/non-emergency medical treatment from tie-up hospital directly without a referral letter.

The ESIC has also allowed the purchase of medicines by beneficiaries from private chemist during the lockdown period and its subsequent reimbursement by ESIC.

The 8 Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospitals will provide a total of 1,042 isolation beds for COVID-19 patients. Besides, the remaining ESIC hospitals in the country are also available along with 555 ICU beds and 197 ventilators.

The following ESIC Hospitals with 1042 isolation beds across India declared as COVID-19 Hospitals:

  • ESIC Hospital, Ankleshwar, Gujarat: 100 Beds
  • ESIC Hospital, Gurugram, Haryana: 80 Beds
  • ESIC Hospital, Vapi, Gujarat: 100 Beds
  • ESIC Hospital, Udaipur, Rajasthan: 100 Beds

  • ESIC Hospital Baddi, Himachal Pradesh: 100 Beds
  • ESIC Hospital, Adityapur, Jharkhand: 42 Beds

Rajasthan Schools CANNOT Charge Advance Fees for Apr-Jun Quarter

The private schools in Rajasthan will not charge any dues or advance fee for three months including April to June from the students during the lockdown. Rajasthan CM, Ashok Gehlot also instructed the schools to promote the students of all classes, except X and XII.

In a video conference meeting held on Thursday, Rajasthan CM said that on account of non-payment of fee, the schools cannot strike off the name of any student from the school rolls.

The CM said that the students will be promoted to the next grade on the basis of the assessments and periodic tests conducted so far. The schools and colleges will have to make arrangements for online classes and e-learning to ensure continuity of studies.

The video conferencing meeting was held to review the situation in educational institutions during the lockdown. It was also decided during the meeting that the colleges and technical institutes can announce summer vacations from April 15 2020. However, there would no vacations in schools.

Bhanwar Singh Bhati, the Higher Education Minister informed that the ministry has formed a five-member committee to decide the schedule for the exam of the universities.

A YouTube Channel has been introduced to provide e-content to the college students while the mid-semester exam in technical universities have been conducted online.

District Administration appeals for Contact Tracing

Contact Tracing means making a list of people who come in contact with the person who has been exposed to the disease to prevent transmission. Udaipur District Administration has made an appeal to the people to make a datewise list of people they come in contact with every day. If someone is found positive for coronavirus, it will be easier to trace the people who have come in contact with the infected person.

Udaipur District Collector, Anandhi has appealed to the citizen to write down the name of the person they meet in their phone or in a pocket diary. It will help the administration to trace the people who have come in contact with the infected person when found.

She has also requested to keep the all the CCTV cameras installed at residents or offices in ON mode.

Dealing with an infectious disease, itself is an everyday battle. A single slip-up may cost a life. Therefore early identification is the key to handle the COVID-19 cases.

Contact tracing of coronavirus positive patients along with massive screening of people in the infected region can help the authorities in checking the spread of the disease.

So, write down the name of the person you meet in your phone or in a diary to help the administration fight the pandemic.

37 coaches to be converted into Isolation Ward for emergency in Udaipur

As the Railways has stopped operation since the lockdown, the coaches in the train have been converted into the isolation wards across the country. The Railway Department has taken this step seeing the increasing COVID-19 cases.

With the conversion of around 2,500 coaches in the entire country, the Railway has made 40,000 isolation beds ready for an emergency.

The different Railways Zones around the country first needs to first get the prototype of isolation ward approved. After the approval, these zones can take on the conversion exercise.

Around 375 coaches are being converted by Indian Railways in a day the work for which is being carried out at 133 locations in the country.

The North Western Railways was asked to convert a total of 266 coaches. Out of this, 37 coaches were allotted to Udaipur. These coaches are getting ready on the pit line of the city railway station.

The 37 coaches consist of 22 Sleeper coaches and 15 General Coaches which will have 1 medical room in each coach.

The middle berths of the non-AC sleeper compartments have been removed to convert the coaches into isolation cabins. All these cabins are being sanitised thoroughly. There are nine cabins in every coach out of which one is kept as a medical room for the nursing staff.

These isolation coaches are being prepared only for contingency and to supplement the efforts. The use of the cabins is yet to be finalised by the Ministry of Railways.

कोरोना से निपटने के लिए प्रशासन और चिकित्सा विभाग ने तैयार की रेपिड रिस्पोंस टीम

कोरोना से लड़ने के लिए उदयपुर प्रशासन और चिकित्सा विभाग मिलकर रेपिड रेस्पोंस टीम तैयार कर रहा है। इसके तहत शहर के 5 निजी मेडिकल कॉलेजो के विशेषज्ञों को आरएनटी मेडिकल कॉलेज में प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है जिसमें कॉलेज के विशेषज्ञ, असिस्टेंट प्रोफ़ेसर, चिकित्सक, नर्सिंग स्टाफ़, शामिल है। इन सभी लोगों को मंगलवार को प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।

इस प्रशिक्षण में कोरोना से लड़ने और पीड़ितों को बचाने के बारे में गहन जानकारी दि जा रही है।

पांच निजी मेडिकल कॉलेज के विशेषज्ञों को कोरोना से लड़ने के तरीकों और पीड़ितों को बचाने का प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।

मुख्य चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य अधिकारी डॉ। दिनेश खराड़ी ने बताया कि शहर के आरएनटी मेडिकल कॉलेज के न्यू लेक्चर थियेटर में विशेषज्ञों को कोरोना से लड़ने के तरीकों और पीड़ितों को बचाने का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा रहा है।

प्रशिक्षण में निजी मेडिकल कॉलेज के विभिन्न रोग विशेषज्ञ, असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर, चिकित्सक, नर्सिंग स्टाफ, लेब टेक्नीशियन शामिल है।

इसके अलावा जिले के आयुुर्वेदिक, होम्योपैथिक, व यूनानी चिकित्सकों को भी मास्टर ट्रेनर वैद्य शोभालाल औदीच्य द्वारा वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसींग के ज़रिये प्रशिक्षण दिया गया जो की 7 सत्र में पूरा हुआ।

Udaipur COVID19 Update: 40 samples tested and all were negative

Udaipur Collector, Anandhi, in her message to Udaipur on 3rd April, has asked the citizen not to panic.

She informed that 18 people from the family of the 15-year-old infected boy were tested for coronavirus. Out of them, 3 were found positive. One of the positive patients is a nurse in the swine flu ward of the MB Hospital. After which, samples of all those who came in direct contact with the nurse have also been collected. The reports will be out in due course.

In the last couple of days, a total of 40 samples were tested and none were found to be positive.

The administration has imposed curfew in the nearby area of the residence of the infected 15-year-old boy on the evening of 2nd April. The decision was made immediately after the report of the boy was confirmed to be positive.

Udaipur SP Kailash Chand Bishnoi said that imposing curfew was essential to ensure the safety of others. He has requested the people to respect the decision of the administration and adhere to the rules and regulations set up around the lockdown.

Besides, the Udaipur Administration is taking the necessary steps to distribute essential items to the families after the imposition of curfew in the Ambamata and the nearby areas.

Milk and vegetables will be distributed on a regular basis and groceries will be distributed every alternate day. Administrations is assuring that all the items will reach the area before 9AM every morning.

उदयपुर के तीन और लोगों के कोरोना पोज़िटिव होने की पुष्टि

मल्लातलाई के 15 वर्षीय किशोर के कल कोरोना पोज़िटिव होने के बाद, उसी के परिवार के तीन अन्य सदस्यों के कोरोना पोज़िटिव होने की पुष्टि हुई है। सभी लोग उदयपुर के एमबी अस्पताल में भर्ती हैं।

उल्लेखनीयहै की उदयपुर के मल्लातलाई में गुरुवार को 15 साल का बच्चा कोरोना संक्रमित पाया गया। बच्चा अपने परिवार समेत कुछ दिनों पहले ही इन्दौर से लौटा था और तभी से पूरे परिवार को क्वॉरेंटाईन कर रखा था।

गुरुवार को बच्चे के कोरोना पॉज़िटिव होने की पुख्ती होने पर जिला कलक्टर आनंदी ने कफ्र्यू लगाने के आदेश जारी किए। आदेश के तहत उदयपुर के मल्लातलाई, रज्जा कॉलोनी, मस्तान बाबा क्षेत्र, रानी रोड, ओटीसी कॉलोनी, अम्बामाता स्कीम, अलकापुरी, एकलव्य कॉलोनी, हरिदास जी की मगरी, सज्जनगर, रामपुरा चौराहा, यादव कॉलोनी, अम्बावगढ, ब्रहमपोल, जाड़ागणेशजी रोड तथा अन्य इलाको में कर्फ्यू लगा दिया गया।

संक्रमित परिवार पहले से क्वारेंटाईन होने से संक्रमण का ख़तरा कम है। फिर भी सभी से अपील है की अपने घरों में रहें, सुरक्षित रहें!

Water and Electricity Bills to be delayed by 2 months in Rajasthan

The Government of Rajasthan has decided to postpone the payment of electricity and water bills for the month of March and April to provide relief to the common consumers.

The significant move has been taken to give relief to people during the ongoing economic distress prevailing due to the nationwide lockdown. The power and water bills for industrial units, farmers and common people of Rajasthan will be deferred by two months.

By differing the electricity and water bills for the month of March and April, the Rajasthan Government is will provide a big relief to around 1,68,000 consumers of small, medium and big industrial industries of the state.

The state government’s decision of postponing the payment of electricity and water bills for the month of March and April will benefit the common consumers as well. The household consumers will be able to make payment of these bills in the month of June.

The decision is estimated to defer the state revenues of around Rs 100 crore.

During the video conference held on Thursday, by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, with the chief ministers of states, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot demanded economic help of Rs 1 lakh crore to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.

उदयपुर के कई इलाकों में कर्फ्यू

उदयपुर के अम्बामाता के कई इलाकों में कर्फ्यू

उदयपुर के मल्लातलाई में 15 साल का बच्चा कोरोना पॉज़िटिव आने के बाद प्रशासन ने उदयपुर के कई इलाकों में कर्फ्यू लगा दिया।

कुछ दिनों पहले इन्दौर से लौटा था और तब से पूरे परिवार को रखा गया था क्वॉरेंटाईन। गुरुवार को बच्चे के कोरोना पॉज़िटिव होने की पुख्ती होने पर प्रशासन ने अम्बामाता क्षेत्र में कर्फ्यू लगा दिया।

उदयपुर का पहला केस मिलने के बाद जिला प्रशासन से इसे गंभीरता से लेते हुए यह निर्णय किया है। केस के पॉजिटिव होने की रिपोर्ट आते ही, प्रशासनिक अमला और पुलिस अम्बामाता थाना क्षेत्र में उस जगह पर पहुंच गए और परिवार के घर के इलाके के साथ ही आस-पास के इलाकों में भी एहतियात के तौर पैर कर्फ्यू लगाने का निर्णय लिया।

बच्चा अपने परिवार के साथ 21 मार्च को इंदौर से उदयपुर लौटा था। वह तब से ही होम आइसोलेशन में है। बालक मल्लातलाई क्षेत्र का निवासी है।

जिला कलक्टर आनंदी ने कफ्र्यू लगाने के आदेश जारी किए है। मौके पर एडीएम सिटी संजय कुमार सहित बड़ी संख्या में अफसर व पुलिस तैनात है।
