The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has decided to pair the 20 best performing smart cities as ‘sister cities’ with the poorly performing 20 smart cities.

Udaipur will take Itanagar under its guidance. The sister city Udaipur will have 100-day to help the under-performing Itanagar improve its ranks and performance.

Top-20 Smart Cities

The 20 best performing cities according to internal ranking are – Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Ranchi, Udaipur, Nagpur, ┬аBhopal, Surat, Kanpur, Visakhapatnam, Vellore, Tiruppur, Vadodara, Nashik, Agra, Dehradun, Davanagere, Kota, Pune, Indore, and Amravati.
