Electronic Bus Service to start soon in Udaipur
Our city Udaipur is going to take a step further in its pursuit of being called a Smart City. An Electronic Bus Service proposal has been submitted by a company called Smart Dreams Private Limited which is in the work of production of specialized machinery.

As revealed by the Mayor of the city, Chandra Singh Kothari, the bus will be fully air conditioned and 40 feet long costing approximately 3 Crores. Keeping in mind the physically disabled the bus will have special seating facility and will be fully under the CCTV coverage. It will also have fully automated hydraulic doors which will be controlled only by the driver to avoid accidents and miss happenings.
The route on which the bus will run has been planned to be very convenient and will cover all the major areas of the city. The route will be Fatehpura – Sukhadia Circle – Chetak Circle – Collectorate – Delhi Gate – Town Hall – Surajpol – Sevashram – Hiran Magri – Paras Circle – Udiapol and back via Surajpol.
The Operating cost of the bus is rather minimal as it runs on the electronic battery which is expected to run approximately for 13 years.
The Mayor further announced, the company’s proposal has been accepted with a pending free 15 day trial in the city. The date of the free trial will be out shortly.
