Electronic Bus Service to start soon in Udaipur

Our city Udaipur is going to take a step further in its pursuit of being called a Smart City. An Electronic Bus Service proposal has been submitted by a company called Smart Dreams Private Limited which is in the work of production of specialized machinery.

As revealed by the Mayor of the city, Chandra Singh Kothari, the bus will be fully air conditioned and 40 feet long costing approximately 3 Crores. Keeping in mind the physically disabled the bus will have special seating facility and will be fully under the CCTV coverage. It will also have fully automated hydraulic doors which will be controlled only by the driver to avoid accidents and miss happenings.

The route on which the bus will run has been planned to be very convenient and will cover all the major areas of the city. The route will be Fatehpura – Sukhadia Circle – Chetak Circle – Collectorate – Delhi Gate – Town Hall – Surajpol – Sevashram – Hiran Magri – Paras Circle – Udiapol and back via Surajpol.

The Operating cost of the bus is rather minimal as it runs on the electronic battery which is expected to run approximately for 13 years.

The Mayor further announced, the company’s proposal has been accepted with a pending free 15 day trial in the city. The date of the free trial will be out shortly.

Music Band from Udaipur – Adbhutt is back with “Pi Ki Nazariya”

When did Adbhutt Band Started? who started? how and why it started?

The band was formed by Shashwat Tripathi & Vaibhav Jain during their college days in 2010 with five members then. Motivation was the annual function in the college where a group of students were required who could play instruments for the show. That led to the formation a proper band. We got few members out of college as well. Initially we were seven members in the group and now left with five members.

 

What are professional background of all group members and what are their musical expertise?

None of us has taken any formal training of music but all are in music field by interest. Although Arvind Singh has worked with few Mumbai based renowned music studios as music producer.

  2. Vaibhav Jain – Reliability Engineer – Keyboard.
  3. Ketan Kumawat – Studying Film Making in New Zealand – Lead Singer
  4. Arvind Singh – Electronics & Sound Engineer – Arranger & Rhythm Guitarist
  5. Ishan Suthar – Sound Engineer – Lead Guitarist

 

Why after 5 long years you thought to re group and launch the video album?

We almost left the musical world almost 5 years back as we had to study further and fulfill the professional commitments but stayed in contact and used to sit for jamming together occasionally. Inspired by the movie ‘Rock On’ we thought to come back. It wasn’t easy to spare time from professional life but we also had a craving to come up with something better than Essence [Our first audio album] so chose YouTube platform this time to reach the audience. It is an era of covers and remix of original tracks but Original compositions have always been Adbhutt’s strong point so we decided to do originals only.

We were working on our project from past few weeks. We shared the project details online to everyone and started working on it & had jamming sessions online on video chats as it was really hard to get availability for everyone at one time. Further, we got in contact with Mr Rahul Jain of RJ27 (He is the amateur / young talent in the field of photography & cinematography in our city & the key person behind this video) for the video. We went through few sittings and finalized the scripts / shoot schedules with the lead cast i.e. Sorav Jain (Free lancing as script writer) & Nimisha Bhati (International trained dancer). The recording completed in 4-5 days and it took 4-5 days for shoot as well with locally available resources like normal DSLR camera & home studio.

How many music albums your band composed?

We released our first music album in 2010 named “Essence”. It was an audio album with 7 tracks in it. We managed to sale almost 1200 copies of it that time and the track ‘Bhor Bhaye’ was a big hit that time. After that we were not together for more than 6-7 months so we did few live stages shows various cities. Now we came back with this music video co-produced by RJ27.

 

What is your next move?

We have our second project in hand and we are expecting that to get on floor in coming months. Further we are planning to produce few more music videos in association with RJ27. Meanwhile we will also be coming with few fusion covers of popular tracks.

Even Supreme Court waves a green flag for commercial Sheesha

Hello!! Youth, let’s be frank about it and agree to the fact that for most of us sheesha just doubles up the MAHOL to our fun time. Smoky areas, dim lights, music, bunch of crazy friends that all a great Sheesha lounge is all about.

In Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad sheehsa lovers can enjoy this environment legally and freely.

Then why not Udaipur’s youth can enjoy this too? Being the hub for tourism, the eye candy view it has from every corner of the city, and on top of that now we are about to be in the list of 100 to be smart cities of the country. Our city is just the perfect place for such harmless leisure activities, which in turn generates capital.

As per a survey, after ban on Sheesha more of youth got in smoking cigarettes, which is comparatively more harmful. Give it a thought!!

Here is a quick look at the whole story of banning sheesha and lifting the ban in Mumbai.

“July 4 2011 BMC issues a circular prohibiting sale of Sheehsa. In August almost all sheesha parlors had their shutter down and the ban was enforced. Few courageous decided to stand for their rights and fought, for 3 years things went on and finally on 9 December 2014 the ban was uplifted by the Supreme Court”.

So, now if Supreme Court agrees for commercial sheesha, then why not our city authorities should also legalize it according to the standards provided by the Supreme Court of India.

We hope to see many new hangout spots emerging for the people of Udaipur, to have a mutual place to Enjoy and Socialize. 🙂
