With a motive to preserve natural biodiversity of Udaipur, City youth Pukaar celebrated World Biodiversity day on Sunday at 4 Bata Park of Sector 14 by conducting a plantation drive.
According to founder Mr. Bhuvnesh Ojha, team and colony members together planted 18 different species of fruits and endangered saplings like Baheda, Mahua, Kachnar, Jack Fruit etc.
Colony person Mr. Gajendra Singh shared the importance of biodiversity with members and also took oath to save these saplings. Colony members showed their zeal to protect environment and actively participated in drive.
Member of team, Vinayak Wadhwani informed that due to intensive deforestation wild animals and birds are losing their natural environment due to which they marginalized to extinction and moving towards villages and cities.
From past 3 years team Pukaar is trying to recover bio diversity of city by Cleaning and doing regular plantation in vacant public parks.
