A captivating reading session by the author of the Lake City, Hasan Ali Gumani, was organized last Sunday at Ranaji Restaurant. Hasan read few excerpts from his second book “The Geek who took my Gold”, which launched in the month of March.
The session began with introductory lines from the author himself and soon the attendees were plunged into the visualization of the excerpt. The solitude of the venue also helped the narration in arresting the attention of the people.
Once the reading concluded, the author briefed about his journey of writing and engrossed others with his motivational talk. The session ended with Q&A round between the audience and the author.
Around 50 book lovers from Udaipur attended the session and also took active part in Q/A session with the author. The event spanned from 4PM to 6PM.
Hasan Ali has authored two books, ‘The Geek who took my Gold’ being the latest one. He leads the content department at Obbserv Online Services.
He also mentioned that he is writing his third book and we can expect it either in the late 2016 or early 2017.
Udaipur Photos, a community for photographers in Udaipur concluded its first competition on 4th october in a prize distribution event at Ranaji Restaurant, Fatehsagar Paal.
‘Ganpati Festivity Theme’, a subject based photography competition was initiated by Udaipur Photos last month during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Over 25 photographers submitted their entries, out of which 3 were selected for Best Photograph award and 3 were selected for special recognition.
Riya Sharma, Praveen Kumar and Payal Kothari were awarded for Best Photograph and Rajarshi Mehta, Vibha Patel and Shivam Sharma were awarded as Special Recognition.
Rajdeep Sharma, Senior Photojournalist, Rajasthan Patrika was the chief guest in the event and Bhupesh Kavadia, owner of Bougain Villaea, Contemporary Art Gallery was the special guest. Both the guests presented the awards to the awardees and spoke about the importance of how one can learn and evolve in such a community.
After its inception recently, Udaipur Photos have conducted a photowalk and plans to conduct at least one official photowalk each month along with few impromptu photowalks. Workshops, Mentorships, One on One session are also in the list of activities that Udaipur Photos plan to schedule regularly.
The registration in Udaipur Photos group is open for all and to keep the entry fee minimal, it costs Rs. 100 for 3 months and Rs. 50 per photowalk.
The world is a better place because of the presence of women. Mother, sister, daughter, friend, lover or wife; no matter what their role is, they add meaning to our existence and bring happiness to our lives.
To give a tribute and celebrate this spirit of womanhood, an event was organized on the occasion of International Woman’s Day today at Ranaji Restaurant at Fatehsagar with the support of ‘Young Entrepreneurs Group of Lakecity’ and ‘Healthline Fitness Studio and Advanced
Physiotherapy Centre’. About hundred women from different backgrounds participated in the event. To add fun and feel the freedom, dance, DJ, games and music was organized along with mouth-watering delicacies and specialties of Rana Ji.
Dr. Chandra Mathur, principal of RNT Medical College was the chief guest for the event. She said the globe is witnessing a participating
role of women in each and every field of man dominated work. She added, one of the strongest skills in women is their ability to
multitask. Women are used to perform different roles in home and at work efficaciously. She was felicitated by the directors of Healthline
Fitness Studio, Dr Vyom Bolia and Rishabh Jain along with young entrepreneur, Prashant Jain of Ranaji Restaurant.
