कलडवास चेंबर ऑफ़ कोमर्स एवं इंडस्ट्री की साधारण सभा की बैठक दिनांक २१ जनवरी २०१२ को दोपहर २.३० बजे से रिको ओद्योगिक क्षेत्र स्थित सी ऍफ़ सी भवन में आयोजित करी गयी. बैठक का संचालन चेंबर के महासचिव श्री मनोज जोशी ने किया, बैठक की अध्यक्षता चेंबर के अध्यक्ष श्री के के शर्मा द्वारा की
गयी, आय व्यय का ब्यौरा कोषाध्यक्ष श्री पवन जेन द्वारा सभा के सम्मुख प्रस्तुत किया गया…

श्री के के शर्मा ने गत वर्ष की चेंबर द्वारा की गयी गतिविधियों का ब्यौरा प्रस्तुत करते हुए बताया कि चेंबर जल्द ही रिको द्वारा आवंटित भूमि पर चेंबर भवन का निर्माण शुरू करेगा.

चेंबर महासचिव श्री मनोज जोशी ने कार्यकारिणी का दो वर्ष का कार्यकाल पूर्ण होने पर सभी सदस्यों एवं कार्यकारिणी द्वारा सहयोग प्रदान करने पर आभार प्रदर्शित किया तथा नविन कार्यकारिणी के चुनाव की तिथि तथा चुनाव हेतु पद अध्यक्ष, उपाध्यक्ष, महासचिव, सहसचिव, कोषाध्यक्ष , सहकोषाध्यक्ष सहित
१२ कार्यकारिणी सदस्यों का चुनाव की घोषणा करी, चुनाव १८ फरवरी २०१२ को सी ऍफ़ सी बिल्डिंग रिको में आयोजित किये जायेगे…. चुनाव अधिकारी एडवोकेट श्री भूपेश पंचोली को नियुक्त किया गया है….

श्री मनोज जोशी ने यह भी बताया कि रिको ओद्योगिक क्षेत्र में व्याप्त समस्याओं पर उद्यमियों में सरकारी उदासीनता को लेकर काफी रोष है , क्षेत्र में नालियां टूटी हुई हैं तथा वें साफ़ सफाई के अभाव में नालियाँ कचरे से अटी पड़ी है, जिसकी साफ़ सफाई के नाम पर केवल खानापूर्ति करी जाती है, ओद्योगिक क्षेत्र की सड़कें
बदहाल हैं तथा उनका निर्माण बहुत ही घटिया स्तर का हुआ है जो सामान्य यातायात के दबाव में ही टूट गयी है, विद्युत् आपूर्ति भी सुचारू रूप से नहीं आती , कोई भी दिन ऐसा नहीं जाता जब अघोषित बिजली कटौती नहीं होती है, इससे उत्पादन तो बाधित होता ही है साथ ही साथ कच्चे माल का नुक्सान भी होता है तथा महंगे
मानव श्रम का ह्रास होता है….श्री मनोज जोशी ने यह भी बताया कि ओद्योगिक क्षेत्र में इकाइयां आज १२ वर्ष से उत्पादन रत है मगर आज भी जन आवागमन के साधन का अभाव है , प्रशासन से कई बार आग्रह किया मगर प्रशासनिक उदासीनता का खामियाजा क्षेत्र के उद्योग भुगत रहे हैं….अगर ओद्योगिक क्षेत्र में
किसी तरह की कोई दुर्गातना हो जाये तो शहर में आने में बहुत समय लगता है, शहर का बाईपास पर हरसमय जाम की स्तिथि रहती है, प्रशासन को जल्द से जल्द इस मार्ग को ६ लेन का बनाना चाहिए तथा गीतांजलि अस्पताल के पास से जो मार्ग है उसे सुदृढ़ करावे जो छोटा है जिससे उस मार्ग का उद्यमी कर सकें , महंगे होते
हुए पेट्रोल डीजल की खपत में कमी आएगी साथ ही साथ प्रदुषण में कमी होगी तथा महत्वपूर्ण विदेशी मुद्रा की भी बचत होगी…. आगामी उद्योग सलाहकार समिति कि बैठक में ये सभी मुद्दे सरकार एवं प्रशासन के समक्ष रखे जायेंगे…

TripAdvisor – The World Largest Travel Website that helps user to post Travel Reviews, Travel Suggestions in an engaging interactive travel forum and review section has just released its 10th Edition of Travellers’ Choice Awards. To our amazement our Udaipur’s – Taj Lake Palace bagged the No. 1 Hotel in India as well as ASIA. 🙂 This rating was based on the Travelers review.

Recently LHW(Leading Hotels Of World) also awarded Taj Lake Palace no. 1 Hotel in Asia and Pacific for its Quality and Commitment.

Rotary Club Udaipur Meera is significantly making a difference in the society by its works for women. The Sangini initiative is a very remarkable step in this cause. In the chain of its social works, the Rotary Club Meera has started its project of preparing blood group cards for school girls. In the series, there was a camp organised at Mahila Mandal School, with the help of Anil clinic on 17th January 2011.

The project was inaugurated by the school principal Mrs Madhu Sareen. President Dr. Veena Sanadhya welcomed every one present at the event, and distributed 250 blood group cards to the students.

“This project is organized & sponsored by project officer Poonam Ladia. There was a significant contribution by the Rotary Meera members who volunteered this project, namely Pushpa Kothari, Kalpna Nalvaya and Shakuntla Porwal. The next camp shall be organised very soon, at R.M.V.School.”

Panache’2012 – ‘Iconoclastic Sixties’ is an Annual Techno-Cultural Festival of Sir Padampat Singhania University, Udaipur, celebrating the underlining nature of all human activities. That is the passion to improvise, the desire to excel which drives us all towards brilliance and distinction.

Panache is all about such Moments! It encapsulates within itself a series of conferences, world meets, workshops, technical competitions, presentations, exhibitions, cultural programs and much more.

The 4-day extravaganza started with a Inauguration ceremony by Her excellency, Governor of Gujarat, Dr. Kamla Beniwal. Starting with a Conference on VLSI and Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing and Mobile Technology followed by Management Conclave proved to be very enriching for students. Then a Classical Dance Performance by Rajesh Sharma and Group and a play ‘Ekla Chalo Re’ performed by ‘The Performers’ written by Dr Laique Hussain and directed by Anukampa Laique, based on the biography of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore were enjoyed by the Audience.

As a part of its Social responsibility, it organized a Blood Donation drive by the Students and Faculty Members of SPSU. Various Events like Prop-Opp Parliamentary Debate, Speech Competition, Debate Competition proved to be a gamut of challenge. We also experiencd art in its most beautiful form through an Eye catching Painting Exhibition by artish Kamal Sharma.

We also witnessed a sense of ecstasy and hilarity in many informal Events like Salad Decoration Competition, Monochromatic Painting Competition, Slate-Creative Writing Competition, Paper Dance and much more. A sudden Flash Mob by final year Students left everyone astonished. We also enjoyed mouth watering dishes and Delicious icecreams at Food Fair from Happinezz’, ‘Chef’s Venture Fast-food Joint’ and The University Canteen.

The day ends with Cultural nights having sensational dance performances and Hysterical ever-rocking Band nights by Rudraksh, Evergreen and Parikrama Rock bands.

The 4 day adventurous journey of Panache Fest ended with a valedictory Function addressed by Dr. Girija Vyas, Member of Parliament, with a lot of reminiscences.

Indeed the experience at Panache’12 is one of those ecstatic Eureka moments which the students would cherish forever. With more events and bigger prizes than ever before, Panache 2012 was truly an extravaganza. 🙂

Wyndham, the World’s Largest Hotel Group to enter Udaipur

For those who are hearing this name for the first time, let me inform you that Wyndham Hotel Group is the world’s largest hotel company with approximately 7,190 hotels and 611,200 rooms in 65 countries. Apparently, there have been rumours of the hotel giant visiting India for exploring new opportunities in the country.

Out of which, there is an agreement with Unique Mercantile India Private Limited, a large real estate development firm in India, and also includes the development of a new 120-room Ramada resort in our Udaipur that is supposed to feature a spa, swimming pool, game room, a poolside bar and international cuisine. The hotel’s first 72 rooms are due to open in April 2012 with 48 additional rooms completed by December 2014.

We wish all the very best to this venture. Udaipur, being one of the most exquisite tourist spots, is gaining fame worldwide. This step shall open doors of many new development opportunities for Lakecity.

Dainik Bhaskar – Miraj Lakecity Carnival united the whole city with the purpose of getting all the craziness out of youth this sunday(15th January, 2012). Another energetic celebration of music, dance and exhibitions in City of Lakes. Reciprocating the success of last year celebration this Carnival began from Town Hall and ended at Fatehsagar Lake.

In order to make this carnival one of the most exuberant carnivals it took many weeks of hard work, an energetic approach, lots of creativity and patience. From Townhall to Fatehsagar people were in full swing celebrating the festivities with all the happiness and good fortune.

Udaipies are known for loving the city wholeheartedly and discovering the fullness of life in the hills and lakes that adds sparkles to Udaipur 🙂

Lakecity carnival began with lots of enthusiasm; students from schools, colleges were dressed up in awesome costumes, various artists mesmerized people with their dazzling performances. There were 36 floats and 50+ performances in total displaying various art forms, dance and activities.
This carnival proved to be a dynamic tool for self exploration and to develop new forms tourism in our Udaipur.

The power of creativity that underlies these performances did transform lives of many. People gathered in groups at the squares to celebrate colors of this fantastic carnival. The Competitions held at the lakeside attracted large crowds and ended with the judgments which made this carnival memorable for the participants .

We at UB believe that such activities are very helpful in promoting a new culture in our City and promoting tourism in our City. 🙂

सोनल मानसिंह के ओडिसी नृत्य ने मन मोहा – Maharana Kumbha Sangeet Samaroh 2012

कभी कृष्ण की माखनचोरी… “मैया मोरी मैं नहीं माखन खायो.. !!” तो कभी मीरा का विरह… “मेरे तो गिरधर गोपाल..!!” कभी राधा-कृष्ण का प्रेम… “सखी हे केशी मथनं उदाराम…!!” तो कभी रविन्द्र संगीत पर बादलों को उलाहना… “ऐसो श्यामल सुन्दरो…!!”
मौका था पचासवें महाराणा कुम्भा संगीत समारोह के स्वर्ण जयंती समारोह में पद्म विभूषण डॉ. सोनल मानसिंह के ओडिसी नृत्य प्रस्तुति का.. कल कार्यक्रम के तीसरे दिन टाउन हाल में सोनल मानसिंह ने पूरे तीन घंटे तक किसी दर्शक को कुर्सी से हिलने तक का मौका नहीं दिया. .
ओडिशा के कृष्ण मंदिरों से निकली नृत्य शैली, जिसे आरम्भ में प्रभु को रिझाने के लिए देवदासियां किया करती थी.. और उन्ही की विभिन्न मुद्राओं पर कोणार्क और पुरी के मंदिरों में शिल्प गढ़ा गया. उसी ओडिसी नृत्य शैली का प्रारंभिक परिचय देते हुए सोनल मानसिंह ने सूरदास के पद “मैया मोरी मैं नहीं माखन खायो” से नृत्य सेवा शुरू की. कृष्ण की विभिन्न नटखट लीलाओं… मटकी तक हाथ न पहुँचने पर लाठी से मटकी भंजन.. यशोदा द्वारा पकडे जाने पर उलाहना… और अंत में “मैया मोरी मैंने ही माखन खायो” कहकर भाग जाना.. सोनल ने पहली ही प्रस्तुति से दर्शकों का मन जीत लिया. तत्पश्चात गीत गोविन्द के अष्ट-पदी में से तीन पद लेकर राधा के प्रेम को वर्णित किया. कार्यक्रम के तीसरे दौर में रविन्द्र नाथ टेगोर के जन्म के 150 वर्ष पूरे होने के उपलक्ष्य में रविन्द्र संगीत का एक अंश प्रस्तुत किया,जिसमे राधा काले मेघ को उलाहना दे रही है कि वो कब आकर उसे प्रेम के रस में भिगो जायेगा..

अब मौका था मीरा के पद का… मीरा का परिचय देते हुए “मेरे तो गिरधर गोपाल” पर सधी हुयी प्रस्तुति ने दर्शकों को वाह वाह करने पर मजबूर कर दिया. कार्यक्रम के अंत में साथी कलाकारों द्वारा “दशावतार” की प्रस्तुति दी गयी. नौवे अवतार “बुद्ध” के दौरान “बुद्धं शरणम् गच्छामि” के स्वर ने शांति का पाठ पढाया और जय जगदीश हरे…के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ. सोनल के साथ नृत्य में दीनबंधु, लक्ष्मी, अनीता और सुनीता ने नृत्य सेवा की.
इस से पूर्व महाराणा कुम्भा संगीत परिषद् द्वारा सोनल मानसिंह को “एम्.एन. माथुर पुरस्कार” से सम्मानित किया गया. सोनल मानसिंह ने मेवाड़ की पुण्य भूमि को नमन करते हुए सम्मान ग्रहण किया.

लो आ गयी लोहड़ी वे

पर्व त्यौहार का सीजन नए साल में फिर शुरू हो गया है. मौसम की नयी बहार के साथ लो जी…लोहड़ी आ ही गयी. पंजाब की शान- लोहड़ी अब सिर्फ पंजाब का त्यौहार नहीं रहा… मकर सक्रांति से एक दिन पहले जिंदगी के हर लम्हे को जीने की सिख देने वाला ये त्यौहार अब पूरा देश उसी अंदाज़ में मनाता है.
बैसाखी त्यौहार की तरह लोहड़ी का सम्बन्ध यूँ तो पंजाब के गाँव, फसल और मौसम से जुड़ा है. पौष की कड़ाके की सर्दी से बचाव… भाईचारे के शाम… मौज मस्ती… नयी फसल के अच्छे होने की उमंग.. यही है लोहड़ी. पंजाब की सभ्यता का प्रतीक बना ये त्यौहार उदयपुर में भी पंजाबी समुदाय के बीच मुख्यतः मनाया जायेगा आज शाम..
ज़रा याद कीजिये ” वीर-ज़ारा” का वो गाना..जब अमिताभ, हेमा मालिनी के साथ साथ शाहरुख़ और प्रीटी ठुमके लगते हुए कहती है… “लो आ गयी लोहड़ी वे… बना लो जोड़ी वे…” ये कहना अतियोशक्ति नहीं होगी कि फिल्मो ने सारा प्रांतवाद ख़तम करके देश को एक सूत्र में पिरो दिया..जहाँ दक्षिण का मकर-विलक्कू पर्व हो या मध्य भारत की मकर सक्रांति.. या फिर उत्तर की लोहड़ी… सब एक हो गए है…
पंजाब में लोहड़ी की रात गन्ने के रस की खीर बनायीं जाती है जो अगले दिन माघी (मकर सक्रांति) के दिन खायी जाती है. ऐसा करना शुभ माना जाता है. यूँ तो लोहड़ी के साथ कई पुरानी रस्में और रंग जुड़े हैं पर समय के साथ अब इनका भी आधुनिकीकरण हो गया है.. पहले जहाँ गाँव में लोहड़ी के दिन गीत सुने देते थे, उनका स्थान अब “डीजे” ने ले लिया है.
कुछ भी हो, लेकिन आज भी लोहड़ी रिश्तों की मधुरता, आपस के प्रेम और सुकून का प्रतीक बनी हुई है. लोहड़ी की रात सगे-सम्बन्धियों, पड़ोसियों के साथ बैठकर हंसी-मजाक, नाच-गाना रिश्तो में नयी मिठास भर देता है. UdaipurBlog.com टीम ये उम्मीद करती है कि पवित्र अग्नि का यह त्यौहार मानवता को सीधा रास्ता दिखाने और रूठो को मनाने का जरिया बनेगा…
शहर में सिख कालोनी में आज शाम लोहड़ी की पवित्र अग्नि जलेगी… हर मन कह उठेगा…लो आ गयी लोहड़ी वे… तिल- गुड खाने और डीजे पर ठुमके लगाने… आप आ रहे है न… !!!!

National Youth Day

A salary that can afford a good lifestyle, home sweet home in a good area of city, cars and bikes parked in the parking space, a life at peace with no worries….all this complete the frame of a perfect life. Isn’t it all that we all dream of and for what we struggle for?? Everyone wants an easy life. But today, as we celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, we need to think over one quote given by him – “Wake up, Rise and Move ahead!!”

Youth have always epitomized passion, strength, power, capabilities, zest and what not. But today only one word describes youth and that is stagnant. We don’t want to discover new horizons, new spheres, new dimensions. Certainly, we do have exceptions but those can be counted on fingers. And this is not enough. We need a revolution – A complete turn over, not only in politics and system but also in the society. We have to drain corruption and dirty politics out of our country, afford at least two times meal, proper shelter and clothes to everyone, make sure that every child gets educated, and end the discrimination made on the grounds of caste, religion and sex. Yes, the list seems to be endless but we have to do it.

This Youth is vigilant – aware about what is going around him; he has that capability to understand the problems that our country is facing. But a mere understanding of the problems, relaxing in your resting chair in your warm and cozy home, is not enough. It is time to “Rise”. Time to move out from homes and burn the streets and roads with a craving to change the world. Show everyone that Yes, we have that violent streak in our blood..!! It doesn’t mean that you start putting a real fire at things; it just means that we must have that heat of fire that can even melt a metal. A single person’s fieriness will not do it; we have to join hands and organize our capabilities and power to make things better and then the best.

I wish that this National Youth Day will stimulate the power lying inside us to spurt up and everyone will see a force rising up that will know no limits, no boundaries; just an enlightened vision for a better world and better society to live in. 😉
