A Perfectly Inspiring class by the Missile Man

APJ in Udaipur

APJ Abdul Kalam is a man of great vision, an eminent scientist and engineer who served as the 11th President of India from the period 2002 to 2007. A person with the pure and down to earth personality was in the city of lakes yesterday. He arrived at the Maharana Pratap international airport at 3:30 P.M., and went straight to the circuit house for rest, where he enjoyed the pleasing and every refreshing view of our own Fatehsagar. After resting for about an hour Kalam sir took the the class of the Lakecity students in Delhi Public School at Chitrakoot Nagar. One could also see the crowd waiting outside for Dr. Kalam to have a view of our very own people’s president. In his half an hour class in DPS, the ironic missile man of India firstly asked the students about what they wanted to become in their future life. In this process he found that there were majority of the students who wanted to become engineers and lesser wanted to become a teacher.

Talking about building a personality, he added that one should have the knowledge as well as the purity of the heart. In this process he gave the students the knowledge equation i.e.

Knowledge = Creativity + Purity in heart + Courage

In his speech he did not forget to mention the role of mother in the prosperity of the nation.  In the series of questions and confusion many students raised their points to the iconic man. In this chain he told the students about how he enjoys his role of a teacher. On the question about India’s possibility to become the superpower by 2020, Dr. Kalam again reminds the role of a mother in nation building and explains “If a child keeps his mother happy, he will sure keep the family happy, if he makes the family happy he will surely make the Udaipur happy, and if he makes the Udaipur happy he makes Rajasthan happy, if he keeps the Rajasthan happy he indeed keeps the India happy and if country is happy then what more do you need to make the country a super power.”

On being asked about his source of inspiration, Dr. Kalam did not forget to mention his teacher V. Subrramanium Iyyer. On a question about why India is always giving a handful of friendship to Pakistan and is not using this hand to slap him for the activities, Kalam quoted “strength respects strength” and explained that being a democratic country we are not supposed to risk the lives of 112 billion people who rely on us.

Dr. Kalam, the teacher of ideas and an environment ambassador inaugurated the Eco Club of the School by watering a plant. In the end with a conversation with the principal of Delhi Public School, she shared her experience about the program and also felt honored as the great personality was between them in their very own campus. The facility provided by the school and the arrangements for the program was excellent. And they wish to have many more interactions of the eminent personalities with the ordinary students of Udaipur in the coming times.

A glimpse of the event can be seen below via the following photographs:

Candles of Peace and Tribute Lightened by The Yuvaz

Mumbai was once again victim of terror this 13th of July 2011, when in the evening Zaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Dadar areas were hit by powerful explosions. Many lives taken, many more threatened.

To condemn this inhuman act and to pay tribute to the souls that have suffered due to the evil act, a social youth group from Udaipur, The Yuvaz held a candle march yesterday evening at Fatehsagar.

At around 5:30 in the evening, a fairly good crowd was present for the noble cause. Udaipur’s singing talent Shahnawaz aka Bunty (X-Factor fame) also joined the Candle March in the memory of victims of recent serial bomb blasts.

We pray for the peace of the departed souls, and wish for peace, harmony and happiness in the minds of the victims and threatened, and fear and terror in the minds of terrorists themselves.

Here are a Few more pictures of the Candle March:

‘Helping Hands’ Organized Blood Donation Camp

Be a blood donor and serve humanity !! Believe me all it costs is a little love

Feels great when our kindness saves someone’s life. “Helping hands” – A group aiming for social welfare took the responsibility to initiate the social welfare activities which some or the other way inspire young minds to have a feeling of humanity and contributing towards the mankind.
When it comes to mankind and saving lives, nothing can be better than donating blood . With the vision of collecting maximum units of blood , Helping hands society has organized a blood donation camp on July 14, 2011 at Devendra Dham. Approximately 140 people from all over Udaipur participated and felt proud by donating blood.

We the UB team aims to spread this word of humanity amongst all the people in Udaipur by exploring and studying the needs of common man and contribute in this courageous act by increasing the number of participants in every camp. We experience very few taking this act seriously but the number of donators have definitely inspired the youth. Pacific institute of technology is a name frequently heard in the social events sponsored this great event and set an example for the youth of Udaipur , heaven on earth . People were seen contributing in as many ways like organizing , managing , advertising , assisting the crowd.

Pictures below portrays the efforts made by ‘Helping Hands’ Team in serving the cause .

Lets work in teams and come up with solutions, spread the word, inspire people !! Let us not limit it to a particular section or gender but being a human lets wake up the young minds and be strength of each other. Its easy to make money but really hard to make the difference , find the need and fulfill it. 🙂

RTU 2nd Semester students appeared for Re-examination

The joy of the last day of exams is a much thrilling experience, when finally the stress of the exams and long hours of studies are over, finally a breakpoint is achieved, and everybody has new plans for the forecoming vacations. But unfortunately due to some anti-social activities by few mischievous persons, the happiness came to an end.

The mathematics examination paper of RTU(Rajasthan Technical University) 2nd semester (B.Tech) was leaked the day before the original exam date, i-e 4th July. As a result, a re-examination for all 2nd semester students of the same subject was held today, the 12th of July.

The paper was comparable to the previous paper that leaked in terms of hardness, but since the students could get a longer span of time for preparations of the exams, hence they could attempt it well. We wish all these students all the very best for their results, and hope that they do not have to appear for another re-examination. and of course, Happy Vacations 🙂
