Inauguration of 1st CSI Rajasthan State Student Branch Convention

Udaipur witnessed the inaugural of 1st CSI Rajasthan State Student Branch Convention by Aishwarya CSI Student Branch in the state of Rajasthan.

Inaugural Ceremony was initiated with lamp lighting by Mr. S. Ramanathan, Hon. Secretary, CSI; Dr. Rajveer Shejhawat, Regional Student coordinator Reg. 3 and Mr. M. L. Talesara Chairman CSI, Udaipur Chapter. Mr. S. Ramanathan then stated that he was astonished by the development in Udaipur IT sector. After which Prof. K Venugopalan discussed about the Ethical practices in Information and communication technology. He also mentioned the security practices and issues related to privacy and confidentiality. He concluded his key note with practice of ethical hacking which is used for security purposes.

The objectives discussed during first CSI Rajasthan State Student Convention were to facilitate the interaction between students and eminent academicians, researchers and practitioners, enrich participants through technical paper presentations, tutorials, workshops and exhibitions.

 About 300 Students from 20 different colleges, Industrialists, Corporate Executives, Researchers and Academicians from Rajasthan and other states are expected to participate in this convention.

Aishwarya CSI student Branch hosts first ever CSI Rajasthan State Students Convention

(A remarkable initiative taken by Aishwarya CSI Student Branch, Udaipurin the state of Rajasthan)

 

Aishwarya Education Society (AES) has been a pioneer in the field of Information technology since 1996. Aishwarya Institute of Management and IT is a unit of AES from 2006. Students of Aishwarya Institute of Management and IT took an initiative in year 2011 to start Computer Society of India Student Branch, with a good standing in the state of Rajasthan (Region III) in India.

The Computer Society of India (CSI) was formed in 1965 and has been instrumental in guiding the Indian Information Technology Industry down the right path. Today, the CSI has 71 chapters all over India, 418 student branches, and more than 90,000 members, including India’s most famous IT Industry leaders, brilliant scientists and dedicated academicians.

Aishwarya CSI Student Branch has been actively working in enhancing student status in the field of Information and Communication Technology which is not only in the field of education but also with their careers, through vital Industry Academic Interaction and regular technical activities.

Aishwarya CSI Student Branch is now hosting the very first CSI Rajasthan State Student Convention in their campus. Objective of this Student Convention is to facilitate interaction and collaboration of students with eminent academicians, researchers and practitioners, enrich participants through technical paper presentations, tutorials, workshops and exhibitions.

About 300 Students, Industrialists, Corporate Executives, Researchers and Academicians from Rajasthan and other states are expected to participate in this convention. The knowledge extracted from this event would be documented and circulated at state and national level.

The Chief Guest for Inauguration is Mr. S Ramanathan, honorary Secretary, CSI and guest of honour will be Dr. Rajveer S Shekhavat, Regional Student Coordinator (Reg. III). Key note speaker Prof. K. Venugopalan, Dean, P.G. Studies, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. Presided by Shri M.L. Talesara, Chairman, C.S.I. Udaipur chapter. For the valedictory program we are blessed with presence of Hon’ble V C Prof. I V Trivedi from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur.

Students from any graduate/postgraduate course can participate in the 1st CSI Rajasthan State Student Convention. Venue of the convention is Aishwarya College, Adarsh Nagar, Udaipur.

CSI Programming Competition held for School Students

The Computer Society of India (CSI) organised a young talent search competition for the school students as the talent search for programming and coding. Udaipur was also a centre amongst about 20 centres in India. As many as 7 schools, namely Central Academy Ambamata, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Maharana Mewar Public School, Alok School, St. Anthony’s, St. Gregorious, Delhi Public School participated in the competition held on yesterday on 24 July,2011 at the city centre of Techno India NJR Institute of Technology located at Madhuban.
Mr. Piyush Javeria informed that the competition was of 2 hours duration in which a team of 3 students had to solve 4 problems of programming and logic in any programming language out of C, C++ or JAVA. The winner is judged based on the timing and accuracy.


The national level round will take place on 28th August at Chennai. The winner gets a prize of Rs. 15,000. The two winner teams will then be participating in the SEARCC international competition which will be held at Chennai.
Dr. Dharm Singh, secretary, CSI Udaipur Chapter explained that this competition is organised by CSI every year, though less entries/participations have been a bit disappointing, yet a higher number of participation is expected in the upcoming years.
The competition was guided by the CSI members’ team from Techno India NJR, comprising of CSI student chapter members, and headed by Mr. Piyush Javeria and Ms. Shilpa Pandey. The Senior CSI members, Mr. M L.  Talesra, Mr. Mazhar Hussain, Dr. Anand Swarup expressed their thoughts to increase awareness about CSI and its different chapters, for better educational and research outcomes. Few students were seen curious for the CSI student chapter membership, which is now open for school students also.
