Swaraag An Indo Western Fusion Band | Capturing Hearts with Their Soulful Music

We can’t forget the way we swayed on the music and the rustic voice of the band Swaraag in the ULF 2017. And why not! The band is just too awesome and lively that it captures the heart of the music lovers.  Rajasthani Folk Fusion with Vocal, Sufi Fusion, Indo Western Instrumental Fusion are some of the genres that the band is brilliant in.

I am sure we all were overwhelmed by their performance and could feel the energy they filled in the atmosphere. Swaraag established themselves in 2014 and since then, they have ruled the hearts of many!

Arif is a great sitar player and has spread his compositions not only in various parts of India but also has traveled extensively in many cities of Germany, France, Gulf, and Austria.

Sufi and Indian folk lead singer and composer of the band Swaraag, he began his singing career at the age of just six with the blessings of his father. Ustad Mahmood Khan, his father, always acknowledged the importance of music in his life and groomed Asif in the classical music.

Other than these two, Sajid Khan plays impeccable Drums and Shahid Hussain is the Tabla Player for the band Swaraag. Tasruf Ali plays mind-blowing Saxophone and Arif also plays Khartal. Last but not the least, Rishabh takes care of the Guitar.

What makes Swaraag different?

Swaraag is a Folk-rock & Sufi Fusion Band.  Swaraag’s Music Team is specialized in Indo Western fusion music and has an immense experience of performing for corporate events, Private parties, Public concerts and many more that makes them a multifaceted music band. The backbone behind the huge success of Band is their Founder and Manager Mr. Pratap Singh Nirwan. He is the one who is the actual creator of a complete team and the reason behind the existence of Swaraag. The Manager, Mr. Giriraj Purohit says that its the team management that makes a band go miles in the path of success.

The Band Swaraag makes the crowd groove over their music!! Swaraag aims at keeping the vernacular music alive through their composition. They even recreate the magic of folk music in current Bollywood songs as well. Swaraag has a passion for singing not only Rajasthani Folk music but also various folk music from states that appeal to different musical tastes.

एक सुखद एहसास दे गया ULF, वो एहसास जो अगले साल इसे और बड़ा बनाने का हौसला देगा

शुक्रिया उन सभी का जिन्होंने हमारी इस ज़िद को अपनी ज़िद माना और इसे साकार कर दिखाया। उदयपुर ब्लॉग की ओर से हम उन सभी लोगो का आभार व्यक्त करते है जिन्होंने ULF को सफल बनाने के लिए प्रत्यक्ष या अप्रत्यक्ष दोनों रूप में सहयोग किया। हम यहाँ के प्रशासन का भी शुक्रिया अदा करते है जिन्होंने ULF में आए लोगो की सुरक्षा में कोई कसर नहीं छोड़ी हम साथ ही साथ हमारे सहयोगियों का भी आभार व्यक्त करते है जिन्होंने इतने बड़े फेस्टिवल को सफल बनाने के लिए हमारी हर पल मदद की। ये सब तभी संभव हो पाता है जब इतना जन-समर्थन आप लोगो के साथ खड़ा हो, जैसा की हमारे साथ था। ये सब व्यक्त करना मुश्किल लग रहा है क्यूंकि मन में जो विचार उठ रहे है उन्हें शब्द नहीं मिल पा रहे है। शब्द कम पड़ गए। जो उम्मीदें हमने शुरू में रखी वो सभी पूरी तरह से कामयाब रही।

हमें पूरी उम्मीद है आपने आर्टिस्ट परफॉरमेंस शुरू होने से ग्राउंड में पहले से चल रही एक्टिविटीज़ का भरपूर आनंद लिया होगा। फेस्टिवल को मैनेज करने के चक्कर में हम आप लोगो के साथ मज़े तो नहीं कर पाए पर आप लोगो को एन्जॉय करते देखना एक सुखद अनुभव था। ‘पापोन’ तो खैर इस फेस्टिवल की जान थे। ‘स्वराग’ को आपने भरपूर सराहा ही।

7000 से भी ज्यादा की अटेंडेंस एक सपना जैसा था। 3-टियर सिटीज में ये सब मुमकिन करना थोड़ा मुश्किल ज़रूर रहता है पर उदयपुर तुमने कर दिखाया। अब जब हम फोटोज़ में मुस्कराते चेहरे और झूमते युवाओं को देख रहे है तो अपनी ख़ुशी आप लोगो के साथ साझा करने से खुद को रोक नहीं पा रहे है। आपके चेहरों की मुस्कान, आप लोगो को इस कदर बेफिक्र होकर झूमते देखना, दो अनजान लोगो को एक स्टाल पर साथ बात करते हुए खाते हुए देखना ही तो हमारी सफलता है, यही तो हमारा हौसला है, यही तो हमें ताकत देगा कि अगले साल इसे और बड़े स्तर पर ले जाए चाहे कुछ भी हो जाए।

इस 7000 के आकडे को 10,000 करना या उससे भी ज्यादा। ये सब ख्वाब है जो देखने चाहिए जैसे कि ये देखा था और पुरे करने में जुट गए। वैसे ही और ख्वाब बुनेंगे उन्हें पूरा करने में लग जाएँगे। ये सब भी आप ही की वजह से होगा। अंत में विदा लेने से पहले हम आप सभी लोगो का एक बार फिर से तह-ए-दिल से शुक्रिया अदा करते है।

A cheering crowd, a colossal stage, amazing artists, whimsical music, delectable food, and beverages- all at a single destination!

Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017 will linger in our minds for the years to come. And, why not! It is the only festival in Udaipur that gathers the energetic people of Lakecity every year at a common place by the onset of Diwali.

In association with Livspace Designs, Udaipur witnessed more than 8000 people at Shouryagarh Resort & Spa celebrating the festivities of Diwali.

Since five years, Udaipur Lantern Festival has made efforts to bring everyone together at a common place to celebrate the onset of Diwali. Packed with mind-blowing live performances, selfie booths, food stalls and beautiful art installations ULF 2017 brought some of the staggering activities for the people at the fest.

Unveiling Happiness

The festival commenced at 4:00 pm with several on ground activities like Dances by Rajasthani artists accompanied with Dhol & Nagada which added pinches of the eclectic culture of Rajasthan.

As the crowd started to gather on the ground, the fest also attained its momentum. The atmosphere was filled with enthusiasm and one could see a blend of happiness and amazement on the faces of the crowd gathered to witness a night of enjoyment and entertainment with their loved ones. The photo booths and stalls were overflowing with people taking pictures and having food and drinks and enjoying the fest.

Here comes the moment of the Fest!

At 6:30 pm the first performance of the Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017, Swaraag (Folk-rock Sufi Fusion Band) all the way from Jaipur took charge of the stage and totally mesmerized the gathering with their indo-western fusion music. No wonder, they were simply amazing and people were completely abounded by their enthralling performance. They were well taken by the crowd and received unmatched applause.

‘Mere Rashke Qamar’ made the crowd go Ga-Ga over the music of Swaraag and the energy was electric and could be easily seen by the applause from the spectators.

Post the performance of Swaraag, came the most awaited moment of the night- the live performance of PAPON.

His energy and love for the city resonated with the audience and we could hear the crowd screaming and cheering in utter liveliness for his songs. His soulful voice took over the stage at 8:00 pm and made the crowd swoon over his songs.

Unquestionably, the people of Udaipur loved PAPON and so did we!

An Electrifying DJ Session

Who does not love EDM! The DJ session pumped up the crowd post PAPON’s performance. DJ Kavish made the fest’s conclusion an electrifying one. The crowd was literally jumping with the beats of the music. What a night!!!

Excited about Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017? Here is a Glimpse of What will happen this Year!

From past 5 years, UdaipurBlog is taking an initiative to celebrate a safe and fun-filled Diwali at a commonplace. This year to foster this legacy, UdaipurBlog is celebrating Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017. Every year the festival witnesses amazing live performances by various artists, a bustling bazaar with local finds and foods, art installations and fun activities. This is year too UdaipurBlog is coming up with a fun packed festival for the people of Udaipur.

You can be a part of the biggest Diwali celebration in the entire Rajasthan with 6000+ attendees who shall enjoy this year’s ULF 2017.

We get so many queries asking about the whole schedule of the fest. So coming straight to the fun part! The festival will commence at 4 o’clock in the evening on Sunday, 15th October 2017 at Shouryagarh Resort and Spa. From 4 pm to 6 pm attendees can enjoy fun activities and games, click photos and selfies with friends and family and have a gala time.

Post 6 pm starts the musical tour, starting the eve by local performers; we will take you on a journey of Sufi Rock fusion music. The band named Swaraag will take over the stage to enthrall you by the Sufi music paired with soothing tunes of the sitar, tabla, harmonium and other instruments.

Then, comes the most awaited performance of the evening- Papon, who will mesmerize us with his heart whelming voice. The ‘Moh-Moh Ke Dhaage’ artist will take charge of the whole soul of the festival.

Post Papon, a DJ performance to make you dance on the groovy Bollywood dance numbers. The frolicsome festival shall meet its end with Lantern Lighting.

Papon

Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017

Angarag Mahanta is known by his stage name Papon. He is one of the most eminent Indian singers. He has set his feet as a composer and record producer as well and also runs a band called Papon and The East India Company.

DJ Kavish

Udaipur Lantern Festival 2017

Belonging to the City of Lakes; Dj and a Remixer, DJ Kavish plays different styles of music including Bollywood, Commercial Pop, Punjabi and Retro and knows well how to make you dance on the floor.
