Taj opens up another property in Udaipur

Yes! The hospitality arm of Tata Group of Companies, the Indian Hotel Company Limited (IHCL) added one more property from Udaipur to its collection of authentic luxury palaces.

The old heritage property from Udaipur, The Fateh Prakash Palace, run by Shri Arvind Singh Mewar’s HRH Group of Hotels is now in a new pair of hands – The Taj Group. IHCL will now manage The Fateh Prakash Palace Udaipur, making it the third hotel in Udaipur managed by Taj hotel.

So this makes Fateh Prakash Palace, Taj Fateh Prakash now!

This new addition is an important milestone in Taj’s portfolio of grand and luxurious hotels and palaces. Also, this will make Taj Fateh Prakash Palace, the third property owned by Taj Hotels in Udaipur and making IHCL the largest hospitality operator in Udaipur.

The talks between both the parties had been on since some time. The groups commenced their valuable relationship long back when Taj Group acquired Lake Palace in the year 1971.  In fact, IHCL recently renewed its lease agreement for Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur for the next 30 years.

Taj Fateh Prakash Palace is situated on the banks of Lake Pichola and is nestled inside the opulent City Palace Complex. Built by Maharana Fateh Singh Mewar, this 19th-century property possesses 65 luxurious rooms and suites along with regal fine dining space including Surya Darshan Bar and Sunset Terrace. The Darbar Hall Sabhagaar, with a uniquely beautiful 1000 kg crystal chandelier, is one of the most luxurious banquet halls in the country which has hosted some of the prestigious events in the country. Besides, Taj Fateh Prakash also features meeting venues to allow guests to celebrate destination weddings and corporate events.
